  • belong to you what is she your property

  • my wee dog i love her

  • that is a good song in my mind.

  • Don't like the singer. (It's his character, not his music, that I dislike.) But I do like this song. Very cleverly written, the way the lines overlap each other.

  • @cruztacean What don't you like about his character?? He's a gorgeous, gorgeous man. :-)

  • @looking4ferdy It's not his looks I have a problem with. It's his personality.

  • @cruztacean PS: If you really think he's gorgeous, google his mug shot. For some reason, the site won't let me post the link.

  • @cruztacean I know, but he seems gorgeous inside, and out!! :-) What's wrong with his personality?

  • @looking4ferdy Well, first of all, I don't think people who drive drunk and fight with cops, which prompted that mug shot, are particularly upstanding citizens. When he and Tanya Tucker were together, he beat her up. Years later he's talking self-righteously in a television interview about how he prays for her lost soul--and that was directly before the drunk driving. Yeah, some room he has to be talking about Tanya, especially after the way he treated her.

  • @cruztacean He did have issues with alcohol as well as other demons particularly during the 70's that you hear so often with popular artists....I can only read about these, as I'm too young to remember things at the time. But what I do know is that, when people for whatever reason, go through these tough times, we just don't know what goes on in their heads. not everything is black and white. Tanya Tucker, also had her own Demons, including drink and drug problems.

  • He is flat out great!

  • sad but love this song

  • A truly beautiful song written for Glen Campbell by that master of song writers Jimmy Webb who has written so many great songs including Wichita Lineman and By the time I get to Phoneix, but Honey Come Back is one of my all time favorites and Glen Campbell's performance is just great,I think Honey Come Back is an example of true song writing brilliance. Thanks for posting it.5 Stars from me.

  • Damn i was 3 yo and listening this one with my first cassette player. :)

Great Music really. Nice to hear again.

  • Glen also played with the Champs on "Tequila".

  • I heard this on BBC Radio 2's Pick of the Pops last Saturday (featuring June 1970) and it sounded great in stereo.

A super record, with a marvellous orchestral background and I recall it well. I can't believe it is 40 years old though!

  • This song is just as I feel toward my God given gift of a wife, Jennifer McRoy Mayberry, who is a cousin to Glen Cambell. I love her with all my heart soul and mind. She is my bread when I hungar, my water when I thirst, the air I breath, God Bless her, I love her and want to hold her in my arms and say how sorry I am for not giving her more than I did.

  • GREAT SONG FROM LUGGY FROM THE UK.

Still a great song, and we are still great friends after more than 30 years apart.

  • @bbfuller1 Yes be strong and remember I guess you were lucky to have had someone special.

  • @bbfuller1 I have no idea what your story, is but you have really made me sad,

  • How old were you Larry then.

  • Well, lets see, I was about 29 years old when this all happened. Thanks for the comment.

  • Wow, had not heard this in years. This song tore my heart out in early 70's when my wife of 2 years ran of with another man. I thought I would die and this song was all over my 8 track. It was so pretty but it just killed me to hear it.. Finally found a 19 year old beauty who helped me get over it.

Thanks for the post. It's in my favorites.

  • @larrydh2 : This very song was like a smallpox injection which accelerated my 'fever' but eventually and actually cured it. We have to say thank Q to Glen for the song. I thought You might have felt he same way as I had.

  • Wonderful video! Glen was at the top of his game in those days & it's lovely to see his second wife, Billie. This was during their good days. So glad he's pulled his life together and is still going strong almost 40 years later.

  • He looks like Jon Voight in Midnight Cowboy.

  • This has always been a favourite song of mine. I first it heard it as a teenager growing up in Guyana, South America. Love Glen Campbell!

  • I too use to hear this song in Barbados. Very beautiful indeed.

  • OMG,....I cant believe i'm listening to this song!!!! I was 8 years old when this song was playing on the radio. My best friend and I used to pretend we were "singers" on a variety show and this was one of the songs we "covered." hahaha where does the time go?

  • I know what you mean, when I was a kid growing up in Ireland my grandparents had this big old gramaphone beautiful piece of furniture with the old valve system and the sound reproduction was so mellow I grew up on Glen and all the Americian artists thank god for the stars and stripes and the Green White and Gold.

  • i miss my late wife...

  • awwe I am sorry to hear that....wishing you peace in your heart......

  • Thanks, I finally put it behind me. Still love this song tho. I had to learn that the pain that goes with losing someone you cherish means you at least had them at some point and that is good. You have to have really loved to feel the pain of losing. if it doesn't hurt to lose someone, it means it was not love to begin with.

  • Love thi song... die die must be heard!!

  • Dear jacqui4elvis, I read yr comment. Do you know, Glen Campbell, reminded me of Elvis. There is something deep and simple, pure and untouched in his person and his songs. Just like Elvis. Like young gods! Charismatic, so everything!

Honey Come Back is one of my very special songs of growing up, listening to it over the radio, in India.

  • hi tasneemyes, i must firstly apologise for not responding to your message in reply to my comments before now, you really couldnt have summed up things the way you have, i couldnt agree with you more. I really adore this song, and all credit to Glen Campbell he was a wonderful singer, but Elvis... well noone can touch him, open to debate i know, but some singers run close ie glen campbell

  • Very talented man. Writes, plays, sings and all high quality music.

  • wow !!!! powerful words

  • i have loved this song since i was a little girl, (going back, 40 years now!!!)i didnt realise that glen campbell was a session singer/musician for elvis presley in the 1960's till recently, but then i didnt realise either, that chuck jackson, a wonderful soul singer sang this song too, but i must say, this is the version i love best, just awesome, it makes me cry and fills my heart with such feeling

  • And Glen Campbell had toured with the Beach Boys too. He stood in for Brian Wilson for a while when he was "ill".
