  • Comments about the link between nationality and skills are usually left by people who have no idea what dance is. TALENT HAS NO NATIONALITY AND RELIGION. It is a precious gift of God. Being a Russian ballet and bharatanatyam dancer, I have seen a lot of Asians learning our ballet and folk dances as well. TALENTED Japanese, Indians, Chinese etc looked very beautiful on the stage. And now think: what have YOU done? Nothing. And that is why you leave such useless posts. It is evident, you know.

  • WoW!

She is a good dancer! And she is pretty girl! =)

  • woooooow excellent . keep it up ...

  • Good MsVid007 this rgh1986aka199 must be one inferior nerd who has to comment about tamils.....he never realised tamilnadu supports the biggest famous Vempatti Chinna Satyam sir's kuchipudi academy..we tamils are not narrow minded like you rgh1986aka199 stupid fool

  • she's a beautiful dancer....hope i would be able to dancelike her one day!!

  • @rgh1986aka199 so u know everything that is there to know about tamils, right?? tamils can excel in a similar form of dance, bharathanatyam, but not kuchipudi, isnt that so??ur stupid comment makes me wonder if u even know anything about dance and wat really goes on inside that scum filled brain of urs about ppl's dancing abilities..

  • This girl is Russian? She looks lot like indian.

Anyway guys.I am really happy to see people outside india are taking interest in Indian classical dances. As a country we have a lot to offer to this world.Dance is in something in our blood.:)

Hey girl 5 start rating from me.Great going keep it up.

  • what if she is russian?....she is better than those tamils who try to do kuchipudi but seldom impress...

  • Awesome performance and such elegance! Congratulations!

  • Cultures and art forms are for everyone. Indian culture and arts for everyone and should not be stamped for Indians only. After all we are believers of Vasundhaiv Kutumbkam (This whole world is a family).

I thank all who take great pride in learning and proliferation of the arts and culture.

  • I think it's easier to please God than an Indian audience. Keep up the good work!

  • @slumlumm That's probably the most stupid comment I've heard in a while...

It's always a pleasure to find people interested in Indian Classical Dance while Indian themselves just care about Bollywood...pffft

I'm personally of indian-descent and a great fan of Russian Ballet....Ever heard of it??.....

Jumping Dance?...How uncultured you are...Go and listen to some Tschekovski.....

  • @Varoonmg Indian classical dance is long famed for its benefit for physical and spiritual health. You know, I think that Indian dance and Russian ballet should be studied by everyone. In my opinion they are necessary in our life.

  • @Varoonmg Oh and by the way it is Tchaikovsky. Not to be confused with Tchekhov.

  • I appreciate her interest in indian performing arts.

About her performance, she needs a good amount of practice & most importantly; she must learn the essence & meaning of the music & it's feel' that's when she can really dance it.

  • Dear Kamalmm, my sincere thanks for your critics and advice.

This video was taken 4 years ago, watching it now I also see the mistakes, unneatly executed steps and acting... I practice more and never stop learning because I know that

    if you practice for

10 years you may begin to please yourself, after 20 years you may please an audience,

after 30 years you may even please your guru, but you must practice many more years before you finally become a true artist -- then you may please even GOD...

  • @elenatarasova MUCH RESPECT for embarcing indian culture, for your hard work, and your talent!!

  • would love to see your live performance

  • One thing that is obvious is that you are enjoying yourself - that comes through your dance - you capture the impetuous spirit of satyabhama excellently !!!!

  • Excellent work!

  • uma muralikrishna did this also. you could search it if you want. it is longer than this though

  • Excellent performance, considering she is russian I would say awesome. Well done Elena.

  • Why was is rated so low? it's unfair! The performer is very well!

  • excellent!

  • why did this only get rated 2 stars? and so what if she's Russian? She's doing an excellent job! Heck, I'm Indo-Asian and I did kuchipudi, but this woman does it WAY better than I ever could have! Kudos to her~

  • thank you

  • agreed! proving once again that you dont have to be indian to enjoy classcal indian dance. i myself am serbian, and i hold classical indian dance dearly

  • Wonderful. I love this dance and you dance it so well. Please post the whole of it. Thank you.

  • nevertheles, she is Russian.

  • Ummm...if she didn't say she was, would you have known? Maybe you don't mean nevertheless...that kinda makes it sound like "she's good, for a russian"...I say that she's a good dancer! I took Bharatanatyam, and if you'd told me this girl grew up in Hyderabad and was named Sridevi Rajamohan, I would have believed you!

  • I can't believe it

  • so the girl is russian?

  • exactly!

  • ur really good do you practice other indian dances too?

  • OMG!!!! i know this dance!! i performed this in my Ranga Pravesm!!!! but she is better than me though. *sigh*

  • It is a very beautiful dance form. The song is so wonderful really.

  • so do I :) It is extremely popular among the Kuchipudi connoisseurs

  • i know this dance!
