  • the Wisdom of Solomon thing is brought up in the story. He'd been brainwashed for years but only turned in to Captain Marvel right before the final battle, while he's fighting Superman his Wisdom eventually kicks back in and he breaks his conditioning.

  • they neglected to mention the handful of Bjork cameos.

  • @rhinocore lol, now i must read it

  • theres a panel at the beginning where Norman walks by a shop and hollis masons book under the hood is in the window....i liked that.

  • i bought kingdom come today, seems i made a good choice

  • I'm sorry it took me this long to find this video. I must have quit reading as a kid right before this came out. Lately I've been hearing the name and got interested, and thanks to these guys it looks like the best comic ever! I'm off to get it immediately

  • One of the first comics I bought were the Batman/Captain America crossover, Superman wedding album, and Kingdom Come # 4. it was '96 and I was nine years old. KC is my all time fave comic, it made me a fan, (DC in particular). I remember hunting down the first three issues, and then getting the deluxe hardcover from Graffiti designs as a gift. Figuring out all the characters and references...so fun.... I bought the absolute edition when it came out. I still love this book.

  • That last scene is one of my favorite scenes ever. It sort of sums them all up when they order their drinks.

  • I think there is an entire generation of fans (90's) that got into comics from this book. There should be some type of collection that has KC, The Kingdom, and the recent JSA story with Gog or at least the Alex Ross parts. Bruce Wayne's funeral and Clark Kent in 30th century were really good scenes.

  • I think that you guys should read about this book on wikipedia its a great review about it

  • Heck they had some new Ross additions(art) to the JSA Kingdom Come arc and what a gorgeous, touching send off for Kingdom Come Superman. Without spoiling all I can say is Supes and Wondy have been busy!!! LOL.

  • Believe me when I say this book got me into comics too as an adult!!! And I knew nothing of the DCU other than the Superfriends and the movies.

It is the perfect story on all levels and I would rate it as my desert island graphic novel.

I would love to see it in a live animation or live action one day.

  • I agree, it's the book that basically got me into comics.

  • its the greatest story ever
