When I had a belly button ring and a corset would play hell with it. So not to just take it out but change to a curved barbell. That works better for me and the hole will not get a chance to close away on me.

I got a corset thats cotton, really nice for like 100 bucks. lookin to tightlace and lose a few inches. anywhay, theres no busk on it, so it's just a pullover. am i wasting my time? why wouldn't i be able to use this one? thanks. sorry, i just couldnt find the answer anywhere and saw another viewer asked this or something similar. thanks hun. :o)

@myshelly433565 well i cant say for sure without seeing it but i would assume because it doesnt have a busk that the support isnt as good as it should be for tightlacing.

Do you feel like you corset makes your waist so small that you top half seems bigger than it is? Obviously you're a really small girl, but do you think your corset can give you a confused perception of your body.

i know its weird but im super curious....could you show a pic of your belly or yourself without a corset? like with a sports bra or something ppl always show their bodies with the corset but they never show how their belly looks afterward. thanks

100% cotton coutil is best for the strength layer of the corset. If you have this layer, you can put just about anything on top of it for the outer layer-even satin and lace, as long as it is sewn correctly. Leather is skin, so it stretches a lot-you have to use coutil to prevent this, or the corset will lose its shape. Other herringbone weave fabrics (like drill or canvas) will work, but coutil is best :)
