  • I would agree with 900heyzeus' comment below - this is one of my desert island albums. Brilliant Zoviet France industro-ambience.

  • Very cool, recommended by friend who plays music in Vivaspectra

  • Mohnomishe is one of my favorite albums of all time. Still have it.

  • Just discovered this band today, love this... And nice DIY video to go along!

  • Absolutely some of the best recordings ever made with experimental sound reaching new heights. I lkove it

  • Right on. This really captures their playful low-fi spirit.

  • Does zoviet france use vocals?

  • Wow, this group changed they way I listened to music. I saw them once in Glasgow, about a decade ago at Glasgow tramway (where I lived). Extraordinary. Thanks for posting. I had always been a fan and had collected a few LPs but they are so damn hard and expensive to find...pity...

  • i got to see them in Seattle in 1988. it was magical. i've been trying to make sounds like what i hear from them ever since.

  • the last track on this album is my favorite. z/f put me on a whole new journey.

  • Wonderful stuff. I think this was the ist Zoviet album I brought way back in 80 something. Eostre is brilliant too..

  • my favorite band

  • Monumental.

  • Billy is now 2. He prefers early Cabaret Voltaire. He finds it difficult to dance to ZF

  • Very fitting. i wish i had this whole album! I do have eostre on vinyl. wouldn't it be great to have a dedicated ZF swap for out-of-print stuff like this? whenever I see their stuff for sale, I buy it, but it's harder when you're in the boonies

  • OUT OF STANDARD☆彡

  • I can't get enough zoviet france. thanks for posting this.

  • i like how mature and nice everyone who is posting about this video is, a raritty on youtube, perhaps because music like zoviet france has made us a bit more peaceful. i certainly have had many meditive trancey moments listening to albums such as this and my personal favourite what is not true

  • It's amazing how they aren't on iTunes.

  • Since when iTunes is the reference. Try Discog to discover such music.

  • hardly anything is on itunes. you cant get shit on there.

  • try soulseek

  • this is neat.

  • Wow - I'm so glad I came across this! Thanks for introducing me to Zoviet France!

  • Dallas show was at Club Dada. Of all the stuff we used to call "Industrial Music" back in the 80s, this album and this band ... my favorite.

  • Saw them in Dallas in the late 80's I think...it was THE most captivating performance art I've ever seen and would love to see a posting of video from that tour...Did anyone see them perform with a dancer wrapped in gauze like a near-mummy? Sounds silly in print but the effect was Incredible!

  • ya , I did...she was perfect for it.

  • Wow! I just came to check out this band and I got a visual treat as well. Very well done, sir/ma'lady

  • They were amazing live. Played in a warehouse in Seattle in the late 1980's and the walls moved.

  • What? another person who knows about Zoziet France? Your films go well with their "music"

  • No Kidding! I did not think anyone knew about these guys. Their records were works of art on many levels.

  • I think you did a cool job on the video

zf kicks so much ass i've NEVER MET someone who likes it though?!

    -hero

  • excelente, una epoca grandiosa... fue editado en esa epoca

  • tres bien !! excellent petit film et grand groupe experimental.

  • hypnotic

  • groovy!

  • So f'ing amazing! Since the 80's they've held me captive. What I would do to see them live!!!!! Truly inspired music.....

  • dude, you cannot do anything...like me...I missed them in Prague in 1997 but at least have unofficial CD from that live gig...brilliant...

  • They were great both times i saw them in Stockholm :)

  • A good movie. All is avantgardistic. You added my favos^^

  • I love Zoviet France.

  • thx for sharing this!

  • i bought mohnomishe and eostre in 1983 by a colonian label called 235. those four records and tg´s heathen earth showed me a new world of sounds. great.

  • zoviet france changed my life.

  • @pidza21 For the better?

    : )

  • @NedsMissingTeeth

    Of course !!!

  • @pidza21 me too. I saw them once and it was great.

  • Hi Robin, you the best! :)

  • Zoviet france rulez!!

  • Thank you for sharing this, this is sadly the first time I've ever been exposed to this particular band. I'm truly amazed

  • WOW!!!!!!

    AMAZING VID!

  • First heard this on John Peel, I have it on vinyl, hardboard cover, still play it occasionally. It's lovely.....

  • occasionally?????

you lucky bastard, someone stole my copy.

    I fucking loved that record.

  • :zoviet*france: is a must for all ambient-experimental-industrial fans, and Mohnomishe is a very particular album, likely between the highest ranked (save for What is not true)...
