The truth about limewire is that is hardly hurts the artist (although it IS still stealing and I don't do it). She said that to appease her label. Artists sign a contract for a certain amount of CDs and gets paid for them all. Of course the label usually adds in a bunch of deductions and clauses (most of which today are solely for the purpose of paying the artist less and the artist knows this but cannot help it).
