Oh, my gosh. You really did a great job with this video...it protrayed the emotions of everyone involved well.
You chose the perfect song for this video...Oh, and I'm glad you made the video work. Even though I never knew the name of the song or anything, after you told me about your idea, I knew you would make it work.
I knew I had to use this song once I saw your 'Baby Sarah' vid....wanting to make one of my own. I kept thinking of how precious those three little girls were and wanted to make a dedication for them.
I'm glad you liked the song, too. Isn't it powerfully touching? I love it.
"Even though I never knew the name of the song or anything, after you told me about your idea, I knew you would make it work."
Yes, I know what you're talking about. And you know, I was thinking of him and the family last night and I started singing the song. Weird. I also watched my vid and though it made me really sad again, it also seemed to release a bit of the saddness, too, if that makes sense. I started to watch the actual vid by The Manhattan Transfer, but I didn't know if I could take it, then. Maybe later.
Take care, my friend. And thanks for the support during this tough time.
Another song and vid I had to listen to and watch last night, was "525,600 Minutes" from the musical, "Rent". I guess I just had an urge to listen to songs about life and loss. It found it to be supporting.
Oh, well. I guess I should save some of my venting for the forum. LOL!
I love that song! It a sense it is uplifting. My friend teaches 8th grade English and every year she will play that song and use it as a prompt. When the song is over she asks the kids to write about the song and what it means to them.
I'll see you there!
I wanted to say this in the last post, but it got cut off. -- You don't have to thank me for the support, I and the rest of the HBHB family, just want to make sure everyone involved makes it through okay. We're here for you!
Yes, it does have a sense of uplifting. I love it! It's so deep.
I think it's great that your friend uses the song with her students the way she does.
Thanks (well, I can't help but use that word [smile] ) again for being there. I still can't believe it really happened and how it happened. Without even trying, I'm finding more and more songs that come to mind for this situation. Your vid with the song "Who You'd Be Today" is one of them. :-( I still can't believe what happened.
I'm glad you got some sense out of what I was saying. :-) Yes, cruel and strange, indeed. Our fate is sealed, but how can accept that this was someone's fate? I felt the same about my mom, you know?
Yes, the vid by The Manhattan Transfer is quite sad. If you're already in a solemn mood, and if you're crazy about kids like you and I, then you might want to watch when your mood is high. It might not be that bad if you wait until then.
Catch you and the rest of the HBHB family later. :-)
Yes, you may quote me in your fanfic. I'd be honored. [smile] Who knows, it might show up in one of mine. LOL! I'm anxious to read how you'll use it in yours. Good luck with your writing!
Isn't it funny how so many songs can fit such a moment? I guess that's why I love music so much. It can help me come out of a horrible mood, make me cry and also help me get my thoughts together on various issues.
And I see that your first comment has found a way back. Very strange! Maybe there was a glitch in the computer at work.
I'm gald it's back.
We have our own little two-person forum going on here, don't we? LOL! I always enjoy 'talking' to you, here, at the forum or in email. I tend to migrate toward crazy people. Kidding! LOL!
Aww, man! Your first comment is gone! Why, youtube?! Whyyyy?!

You are very welcome, friend.
You know, I think that it was kinda ironic that you posted this before...everything happened. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Thanks again.

Yes, of course that makses sense. Sometimes that just how things seem to work...life is cruel and strange sometimes.
I didn't know the Manhattan Transfer had a vid for this song. Oh, my. I can't even imagine how said it must be.

"Our fate is sealed, but how can accept that this was someone's fate?"
Can I qoute that in my Pursuit of Happiness fanfic?
Oh, yes. "Who You'd Be Today". I forgot about the song, but I as I thought about it, I agree with you. It fits the situation.

Thank you. It'll be in the later chapters. Good luck with you fanfic(s).
My thing with music is: OMGoodness. That such a JAG song. LOL! Yeah, I think I have issues. Haha.
HATBC 3 years ago
I know what you mean! I do the same with our other fave duos. LOL! I guess we both have issues. LOL!
Thanks for the well-wishes on my fanfics. :-)
