  • I used to get nightmare of this, no joke! I found it really scary!

  • I remember this, this is very nostalgic and so very 80s.I Love this channel four Ident.they first showed liverpool soap brookside with this classic channel 4 Ident.

  • bring back th colour

  • Join the Facebook group Bring Back The Channel 4 Blocks, Fourscore and the clocks! :)

  • Its hard to beleive that the UK had only 4 channels for so long. I spent some time in the states as a kid in the early 80;s where they had cable tv with tons of channels then moved back to the 'uk and it was like the bloody stone age in tv terms..lol

  • nah there were 4 channels of solid content as opposed to 100s of channels of junk

  • SO ADDICTED TO THIS IDENT!

Like the Thames ident, simple, effective and just lovely. But unlike the Thames one this hasnt aged badly at all. The music, maybe a little but its better than what I like to call 'ambient bollocks' associated with most modern TV idents.

  • fucking Love it!!!! Bring it back to our screens!!!

  • Is this channel 4, or BBC 4? I'm from the states.

  • (Facepalm) This is channel 4 mate.

  • Channel Four. BBC 4 idents don't even come close to this...and this is from the 1980s!

  • Channel Four

  • This is channel 4 a commercial terrestrial channel launched in the uk in 1982, there is a bbc4, this is not it, bbc4 is a digital channel you get in the uk over free to air digital mainly for documentaries and higher brow television. Channel 4 is currently best known as carrying the uk version of Big brother
