  • What a well behaved and polite ( but appreciative) audience

  • モッズ神~かっこよすぎた我がスティーヴ・マリオット、永遠バンド、ロック躍動期のブリティッシュ雄、スモール・フェイセス、ポール・ウェラーも演った”Tin Soldier" #bigsp

  • talent, talent, talent.

  • Talent, talent, talent.

  • BIGJERRR1, I completely agree with your fine comment, I just would add they were such ahead of their time that among greatest bands of these days, each and everyone found something to copy in their sounds and music. STEVE and RONNIE........

  • Powerfull stuff !! Love the dynamic in this performance.......

  • @En3usiast o yeah! this performance typifies so much of the mod take on RnB, with the energy, soul, attitude and well, just the whole groove... groovyyyyyyyyy!!!

  • How old was Kenney Jones in this clip! He looks about 14, lol.

  • @OzziePete1 Kenney was in his teens for nearly the entire time he was in the Small Faces. He was 16 when they had the first hit and he only just turned 20 when they broke up.

  • Why is this called excellent quality? It's lip synced. Might as well just listen to the record. The recording is great either way,

  • Turn it up...I want to hear it on the continent...all the way to the Father Land. "Earschplitinloudenboomer"!!

  • STEVE AND RONNIE REALLY HAD THEIR BAND TOGETHER. WENT 2 THE TOP AND STAYED THERE WITH ABSOLUTELY COMPLETE AUTHORITY AND IT ALWAYS SHOWED IN EVERYTHING THAT THEY DID JUST HOW MUCH THEY TRULY ENJOYED DOIN' WHAT THEY DID BEST. . .COMPLETENESS IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD AND MEANING. CAN YOU IMAGINE THESE GUYS WITH A FULL SET OF MARSHALLS? THE STAGE WOULD FALL DOWN WITH EXCITEMENT

  • WHEN EVERYTHING WAS ALOT EASIER AND A HELL OF ALOT BETTER, WITH MUCH MORE EXCITEMENT. THESE GUYS MAKE EVERYTHING LOOK SO EFFORTLESS, AND THEY SIMPLY KICK ASS, FROM BEGINNING TO END.

  • ♪♪♪♪♪▼♪♪♪♪♪ Steve Marriot, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones and Ian 'MAC' McLagan.

  • At 3:19, fan on far right is getting into the music!

  • Listen, children... if you want to play rock, this is how it's done.

  • 'cn great band, 'cn great music.

  • Steve and Peter Framton started a kick ass rock band Humble Pie, saw them in Akron Oh in 1972.

  • can anyone tell me what guitar Steve is playing.

  • @yorrakhunt I read somewhere that he played a Gretsch in the early days, but that looks more like a Gibson.... sorry, I dunno.

  • Steve was also an excellent guitarist. Just listen to all the complicated little riffs he does throughout the song. That's what I really like about it.

  • @philsturman And a good dancer. Most musicians don't seem to be inclined, which is really odd. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, none of them seem to have an ability to dance, Steve does.

  • @Khultan Steve did have an advantage over the "art school" crowd. He attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts (it's where several of the top US dancers featured on Dancing With The Stars went to school much later) and his stint in Oliver probably helped with his dance training. But there is no question that he was a natural when it came to the moves.

  • @robertemmet321 But even before attending that Academy, partly out of real concerns for their son's delinquent actions at a certain school, Steve was ripping it up on the dance floors to the latest records as a juvenile/early teen.

  • Gpd bless Steve; the best hard rock voice of all time.

  • Does anyone know what Stevies shirt is called? I mean if it has a special name?

  • @Syndicate93 This was my era, and I don't remember this kind of shirt having a particular name....it was the style, with the ruffle down the front, plus on the cuffs.

  • @Syndicate93 - just a ruffle shirt. Very "Mod" - looks great on Steve doesn't it?

  • @shardennefroider It fits him like a glove, that's why I bought one myself to get some of the charm aswell. Hehe

  • @Syndicate93 puffy shirt (seinfeld lol)

  • TOTAL MOD BAND, ACE

  • Thanks for posting.

    Marriott was a god.

  • What a performance! You'll never see anything like this at a festival now.

  • @Golokamusic It's a good job we don't, really! - they are miming to the studio-recorded version, NOT playing it live ...do you see Pipi Arnold anywhere on stage?

  • And the actual song was recorded on the 13th November 1967! That's a quick turnaround:) Great post.Thank's a million for that SixtiesPopGold1

  • I think this was recorded on 25th November 1967 for the German TV show, Beat Club.

  • take me I'd treat you like a man! fucking love him! i cant believe they get no credit for any of this amazing stuff, Im so pissed that nobody ever reflects back to THEM!

  • @freedomchild68 Marriott set the standard for all rock voices, eveyone tried to copy him, yet he gets no credit. I find that sad. Most people dont know who he is.

  • @dicarlo57 u are so right what a voice ,god i luv what u said total respect

  • @dicarlo57

He gets plenty of credit from me..

But i don't think many people realise how many bands wanted him back in the day, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin to name a few, even the Stones wanted Marriot to play guitar but Jagger didn't, probably scared having a man with that much talent in the band....

  • @the1mwood Thats right. There was a book written about led zepplin which told of how Marriots' manager threatend to break Pages fingers if he offered the job to Marriot. Ill be damned if i can think of the name of that book.

  • @the1mwood Jagger doesn't hold a candle with him still breathing even after all these years...what a talent Steve was and his legend lives on.

  • @the1mwood Yep what a voice!

  • @the1mwood Led Zeppelin didn't want him. The fact is that in the early stages of Jimmy Page's idea of forming a band to take the place of The Yardbirds, Page had Marriot in mind for a second guitarist and lead vocalist. Marriot's manager basically threatened Page if he got close to Marriot.

  • @the1mwood led zep wanted him , but steve,s management wouldnt have it , for some strange reason , quality stuff small faces

  • @freedomchild68 So true!!

  • take me I'd treat you like a man! fucking love him!

  • ....great clip.....four legends.......5beer*

  • @beroth77 You can't compare this to videos from today. This is taken from the master, so when we speak "60s quality", I'd say it's close to excellent. And I'm not one of those writing "HQ" on a video with lousy quality

  • @SixtiesPopGold1 I just listened to a better quality youtube upload of this SAME take (in STEREO) - this is NOT taken from the "master" of a live performance, but from the studio-recorded version with the band miming along in some television studio (it could possibly be taken from the television "master") ...I mean, Pipi Arnold's voice is there, but she is nowhere to be seen!

  • @beroth77 For the era they arfe.

  • two words..Steve Marriott..

  • The drummer is very good.

  • LOL..I love how the tape starts again at the end and they just roll into it...thanks!

  • Mmm, miming! I can hear PP but can't see her!

  • I've never see the bit where the credits roll before.

  • WOW!

  • Superb
