I didn't know he covered this song. Good job. Elliott Smith's songwriting has always reminded me of Odessey & Ode period Zombies (among other things). I wish beautiful songs like this were more common today.

Wow... this is pretty damn good. It strikes me as a very difficult song to sing... all those unexpected melodic shifts. Even harder when you've got minimal instrumental backing. Very impressive.
