Well I tried it out and the ending has no difference except that Glomgold found the final treasure.

At this time, making sequels for this and Rescue Rangers were unnessesary since the 8-bit era was about to end and both shows were not only no longer showing first run episodes, but were already retired from the Disney afternoon lineup.
