I hate the fact it's from HP. I think it's a beautiful machine but from my experience, they have horrible customer service and they tend to have a lot of things break after one month.

a macbook pro copy, that is more expensive than a macbook pro, bigger, uglier and also doesnt even have an internal disk drive. also its name is ENVY so the irony is pretty big, its envious of the macbook lol.. seriously...this thing costs more than the cheapest macbook pro and has lower specs. WHY?

I just laugh at the act that HP trying to copy Apple's style.

Seriously, I am more of a mac guy, owning a Macbook Pro Core i7 and Mac Pro. But common, I know the HP Envy smokes the MBP i7 on Benchmark testings. But then why do they have to copy the style? Why? If they kept their own style from before at least it will be an HP, not an "Apple like product with a Windows 7 init, but doesn't look half as good and disk drives are not internally included."

Wow this "photo shooting " looks pretty nice, much better than any HP ad i have seen so far ^^

the style is nice and it feels great.

yes the weight is great and the battery should last up to 18h with slice, which is almaost 6-8h with good performance and high energy consumption.

and since every1 compares it with a Mac

the mac has a better case and good batterytime, plus u can run win on it

but the envy has more sophisticated hardware

so i would buy the envy

Tried out the Slim / Slice battery for the 15" Envy added about 2 pounds!! ... lost most of my interest in the Envy series since.

@JustSmilinn well no, not even close. Every laptop has its differences from the others. The macbook/envy keyboards are chicklet keys while the thinkpad keyboards are traditional laptop ones. Also, look at the thickness, compare an acer aspire to a dell adamo xps, there are literally no similarities!

no two laptops ever look exactly alike, that is the job of patents coming into play.

Processor speed isn't everything. I'm using one right now with the 1.6 ghz processor and it is faster then my old laptop that had a 2.13 ghz core 2 duo. I can go into more detail how if you like but I don't want to preach on youtube :P

The only thing that looks like the MBP is the keyboard and the full glass screen (which I don't consider copying).  The MBP is alot more square then the Envy also.

Wow. this looks like an awesome computer. but that video seriously looked just like a mac unboxing... really HP? how much of copying apple is too much? I wouldn't go to say that the computer is a copy of the macbook pro, but the packaging it almost despicable. If I were to get a new computer though I'd have to go with the Envy 15, for that is what a mac has always wanted to be.

But the envy 13 is still a pretty cool computer.

Atleast they put real hardware in there version. Apples still using core 2 and 9600m. Those are almost 2 years old. The 4830 would run circles around the 9600m and the core i7 would run circles around the core 2.

same here, although i have to say the speakers on this one look better than the one we have on the mac book pros, they're actually not the best speakers out there, although the keyboard is amazingly smooth
