The anime of Clannad is based on its visual novel, which contains different endings involving different characters. Clannad and Clannad AfterStory go with the HAPPY endings involving Nagisa. Clannad's OVA ends with the Tomoyo ending; Clannad AfterStory's OVA presents the Ryou/Kyou ending.

Kukulza was talking about story endings, not episode closings.

well considering that the romance for Clannad has always been heavy drama and usually revolves around some difficulty in Tomoya keeping the relationship (nagisa dies, tomoyo is a good student while tomoya is a delinquent, kyou/ryou fight over him...)... i can't see Fukko having a base to go on.

there's no pre-existing foundation to make Fukko's love story on and honestly... it'd be way too hilarious and not nearly dramatic enough for Clannad (also consider Air and Kanon made by the same people)

i dont no, but the base might be that fuko is a spirit of a girl in a coma and has to deal with forgetting her soon and after a couple of years later, they run into each other like in after story but a bit different

so... the story of Tsukimiya Ayu and Yuichi Aizawa from Kanon, done by the same company?

replace "Fuko" with "Ayu" and "Tomoya" with "Yuichi" and you have the Fuko arc you're probably imaging.

Kanon, Air, and Clannad are all made by the same company (Visual Art's/Key) and are basically the same anime done 3 times over... and they're amazing each time...

but i think the Fuko arc might cross the line between "noticeably similar" and "we're copy pasting." no matter how good it would still be :/
