First of all, dufus...it's NTSB not NSTB. Secondly, experimental aircraft safety is very, very close to that of type certificated aircraft and is improving all the time. Thirdly, how do you know if an incoming plane is, for example, a student pilot on a cross country flight?
A total tool, Airport manager against aviation, pilots, training & experimental (amateur built planes). He resigned from McCarran '06 for being a dick. He's a fool working for anti-airport groups. This neighborhood built up around the airport. Statistically pilot training (I'm a CFI certified flight instructor) AND Experimental kit planes (I built/flew two over 1500 hrs) ARE SAFE. "Regulations slanted towards PILOTS, should be for everyone?" IDIOT! Accident happened so used it for his agenda!
It is a shame that the Clark County residents' tax money is being wasted on this complete moron! Two people are killed in a house, and granted that is a tragedy, but does that mean that we eliminate experimental aircraft and flight training from all but the airports in the boondocks. He said it himself this was the first time in his 18 year career that he saw anything like this. Did the idiots at cbs put him up to this so they had an excuse to show more footage of the burning house?
That guy is a jackass. No one questions the safety of an airplane when it's built on a an assembly line. Most people don't realize a person that builds his own airplane puts in more care than a guy in a factory. The arrogance of this guy thinking they are allowed to close airports to certain aircraft, not even O'Hare, Atlanta, and New York have that choice. He needs to remember what his job is and stop trying to run for mayor. Putz!
