usually songs reflect the life style of people, in 70s and 80s, life was simple, life was slow, people enjoyed nature, learnt and talked good kannada(this clause applicable only to karnataka), good lyricists and novelists were there, so the songs were always classic...cannot blame the current generation for bad songs today

Duniya, Mungaru maley, Aishwarya, etc all has good songs in them. If you look at bollywood, then u r right. Because Bollywood survives only with songs. No proper scripts, too make remake films, copying gestures & expressions from hollywood, etc All comedy films copied from malayalam like hulchal, herapheri, hungama, etc. Art films from kannada like lagan, swades, etc Family/action oriented entertainment from Telugu & Tamil. Bollywood is fit to eat shit from others.
