  • Anyone made it to level 17 in this game yet?

  • I've never heard anything like this. So cool. Good drumming going on too!

  • Lol Zelda triforce ftw

  • beast

  • Great technique

  • This is truly one of the greatest things I have ever heard, good job.

  • Badass.

  • Wow, this is a cool concept and coordinated effort - however, tho I don't love that snare sound, it is a good fit overall. I would have composed a seperate, unison rhythm for about 8 snares to play behind them, especially in certain parts of the piece. Those 8 snares would have the scottish bagpipe sound and add another cool layer in the mix. Think it would be quite cool with that.

  • Sounds like an Owl City song lol this is really unique. I like it

  • the drummer on the right is tuned higher than the left... was this on purpose?

  • @1922208 Not on purpose. Maybe it helps distinguish them.

  • Reminds me of Kraftwerk.

  • Are you going to be writing more? I really think you could get a niche in the "market" by creating this mixture of electronic and marching percussion. I'm contemplating hijacking the music off this and putting it on my ipod.

  • was there any sheets for this?

  • @drummachinexx Yes, they had sheet music, but it wasn't traditional notation. Lots of custom symbols for all the weird things they do.

  • Hahaha this reminds me of Flight of the Conchords for some reason... I was just waiting for you guys to break out singing about killer robots or something.

  • Cool but the drums weren't high enough in the mix for my taste..... rock on...

  • I love how the link for this video says "hug".

  • cheese inverts are my favorite

  • Any chance of getting sheet music for this and or the background music mp3? d:

  • usc dudes... for sure! i can tell because of the harness....

  • what the fuck

  • that is pretty damn tight =]

  • Very simple but sounds so amazing..

  • thats is some cool stuff dude....

  • is that LA in teh background?

  • @killingspree926 yes, USC Campus

  • is that LA in teh background?

  • thats really cool. how long it take to put that together?

  • hey where is that at? like streets

  • Yeah, they're sfz's. With a basic black wrap looks like.

  • the guy on the right has a tri-force on his holder

  • @clayfreek i know its sweet i want one

  • Where can i find the sheet music for this?

  • u guys are my inspiration!!!

  • Excellent.

  • this is amazing and very well produced it sounds like you took your time and got every thing perfect

  • this is music all you need to do this is a flip video camera or any good quality camera note that i said good so flip ultra or mino or mino hd would do this and cannon hd or Kodak but and way get a mic as well and attach it to the bottom of the snare

  • did you do this on a green screen? or did you just mic the drums up cause man they sound good and are those sfz's or mts's

  • Looks like SFZ's to me

  • @dirtriderguy SFZ HAHA WE HAVE THESE AT MY SKEWL

  • :-))

  • I just cant get over how good those snares sound. Great Job

  • you guys ever march DCI?

  • They both marched Div. I corps.

  • which one?

  • Pacific Crest / Seattle Cascade i believe...

  • ahhh i love my city of L.A.. nice view of it from that deck too

  • dude.......fuxkin awesome

  • Measure 1,599 sounds just like measure 72 sup?

    BTW good job on cheese.

    Wish You We're Here

    SNAPETTES!

  • Comment removed

  • Really unique... i dig it.

  • This is great. I hope somebody remixes this and adds some cowbell or at least some base licks.

BTW measure 1,599 sounds just like measure 72 sup?

    Wish You Were Here

    SNAPETTES!

  • I dig this. Totally. I'm definitely what I consider to be a "drum jock" though, so any changes I'd make would be to add immense quantities of notes. Entertaining nonetheless!

  • dude these are usc college kids they dont have time to spend much effort into this with college.

  • Cool ideas but for just being two snares there's some kinda dirty parts.

  • u have a triforce on ur carrier harness lulz u

  • I was just going to say that :P

  • Isnt it fucking sweet

  • This is excellent. Thanks so much for sharing this. Sounds cool, looks cool, and is ultimately quite entertaining!

  • i <3 it

u guys rock, and i love all the unorthadox stuf u do

  • Do you have another video with less volume on the music and more on the drums? Great video. I enjoyed it a lot. Comparatively unorthodox. Did you memorize that whole piece or were you listening to it while you played? cuz around 5 minutes there is a decent break that would f-up my timing if i was playing this from memory with no backing track.

  • Sorry, maybe it could have been mixed better, but all the files are buried somewhere on some hard drive, too much to go back and do :-) They did memorize it, there are cues in the music that help them. Also there is a click track going through each headphone.

    dave

  • niice. great performance.

  • Thanks!

  • What Brand r your carriers?

  • yamaha

  • Nice job!! Biersach taught you well!

  • damn... nice job guys.. hah.

  • what kind of Yamaha snare model is this? MTS or SFZ???????

  • sfz with wire snare units

  • thats actually pretty cool. for some reason that backdrop reminds me of that abandoned airfield where mythbusters did their steam cannon.

  • this is cool az hell

  • Sickkkkkkkkkkkkkk i wanna do this

  • WOW!!! this was ridiculously awesome... You should make some more videos... I tried doing this with a couple buddies to some Autechure and Aphex Twin...unsuccessful!!! Again AWESOME!!!

  • nice zelda dude on the right!!

  • Pretty Nice

  • nice, i like this alot. it's like the perfect theme music for a robots life.

  • Those are some fucking kick-ass heights. Nice composition.

  • Sooooooooooooooooooo cool. If there is anyway that I can get my hands on a copy I would most definitely do it. Great duet. I played a snare solo with a tracking in the background and it was very fun to learn and apply it to the music. I would like to know more about what you do, since I am an aspiring percussionist in college.

  • did u compose this ur self its pretty sick

  • Yes, glad you liked it!

  • men in black or should i say men in black snares.... LOL OHHHH i crack my slef up.. it too me a while to come up with that one... :)

  • lol almost as entertaining as the 2003 Blue Devils opener. btw how were you able to get such good sound quality up there?

  • That's so weird, but so cool..

  • did one drummer start a 16th note or eighth note earlier than the other? the timing seems too perfect to me. please correct me if im wrong

  • Not that I'm aware of. Im sure there are some off notes though somewhere in there.

  • This is still sick after it being so many months after me watching it! Question, were you guys using the ISO headphones? So then you couldn't hear each other? Sweet if so!

  • Yes I believe they are Remo drummer headphones. We tried some in-ear ones but the guys didn't like them. It canceled out most of the noise but there was still some that got through. Thanks for the comments.

  • these was cool but i also like the idea of maybe gettin some tenor drums out there to add another sound to it. cool!

  • Those clouds sure move far by the end of this. Man, I crack myself up sometimes!

  • very cool...creative...gets some tenors out there, make it a little more tonal. however, very cool.

  • what city is that?

  • On top of a parking structure at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, overlooking downtown.

  • This is much better than anything I've ever seen in DCI. Wow!

  • dude are u serious? search for cavaliers 2002 and look for lot finals

  • shut the heck up, dude I didn't say anyone sucked around here.

  • Hey, any chance you could send this to tapspace so people could buy it?

  • it'd be more sick if you guys did drill, yadig!

  • ...weird

  • i like it a lot but the only thing that was bad was ur buzzies

  • it doens't lok like you guyz are even touching the drum

  • yeah, that would explain the noise coming from the drum.

  • ^^ LMAO nice one

  • cool where did yu get the music from?

  • cool!""" more vids pls.. we love it!""

  • what was the creative process for this composition? Did the electronic music come first or did you do them both as you went?

  • TRIFORCE

  • yeah

    hilarious

  • VERY COOL! much effort went into that and it shows. the composition is genious, the performance was great.

  • So who's gonna be the first to arrange this for drumline and pit ensemble?

  • wow

  • How long did you guys practice this? I thought 9 minutes would be long, but I loved every minute.

  • you are a genious and this is amazing you should do more with this idea

  • that is so cool

I am going to put it on my ipod.

I bet its wat winter gaurd shows are going to sound like in the feature any want to take me up on tat??!!

  • I'm quite impressed by the creativity you have! A lot more people should see this. I liked how the four motifs came together after they built up (from about 2:17 to 2:37). It seemed like the snares had a melody and harmony on their own, and it met the melody and harmony from the synth track.

  • what type of head did u use...hit me up @ www.myspace.com/drumz1

  • thats awesome, yogi.

  • haha nice Zelda Triforce logo on the right carrier

  • Man, that really grooves. If you ever publish that and sell it, I would buy a copy

  • zelda symbol on the right guy's harrnas.

  • sik...nice...pretty creative if u ask me!

  • hahaha thats so cool. props to creativity

  • badass man

  • crazy man.

  • That's great : good work !

  • siiiiiiiiiiiiick

Great job, David. Well done. Gerball and PotRoast rocked it.
