It is true, though, that with some of the newer animated films (Treasure Planet, Lilo and Stitch, Princess and the Frog, Tangled) that some people at Disney are fighting to get the magic back. If they could convince everyone else to bring it back, though, and it was a full team effort like in the good ol' days, THEN Disney Magic would be fully restored. As of now, all we can do is remember and hold on to the classics.

This is still the best Disney movie, hands down! Beautifully done, wonderful storyline, the best ending of any film( even though I liked him better as the beast). It has totally shaped the men I am attracted to now but who cares. i wanna be Belle and I want my castle and my prince. Its all so magical. Man I wish I grew up with beauty and the beast and the lion king, but I was born right after the lion king (more specifically the day goofy movie was released) But I still got some amazing films to grow up with in the 90's: Pocahontas, Tarzan, Hercules, Mulan, Fantasia 2000, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Bug's Life etc etc.
Back in the good old days, Disney films actually HAD meaning. Take this movie Beauty and the Beast for example this taught that you should never judge a book by it's cover and true beauty comes from within :) Disney movies now just don't have anything worth teaching to it's viewers anymore :( The only good movie that's come out recently was The Princess And The Frog but as for the others....Blah! xS
I'm so thankful that i grew up watching these kinds of movies, not the shows that disney channel shows now. My childhood was a magical time, when I wished to be a princess with a fairy godmother and animal friends.

I love this movie so much! This is my favorite story of all time because the message is so powerful and wonderful! I wish that more people knew to look at people and get to know them for their personalities, not their looks.
Sigh, I started to get teary eyed at the first 30 seconds of watching this. The Disney Renaissance era was definitely the best, I'm so glad I was born when I was. Growing up with Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid.. definitely a magical time.

Is it just me, or does Belle look really fat in that dress?? She is supposed to be 'the beauty' but come on, that colour (what do you call it? All very well for the sophisticated , modern , violent , bad language ,sexual stuff imposed on us by films , this is a simplistic , timeless masterpeice enjoyed by millions .
Angela Lansbury's croaky voice is perfect for the character . The animation and personifications are masterly drawn .
These Disneys will last for ever when more sophisticated, moden films have long been forgotten.

Sigh, I started to get teary eyed at the first 30 seconds of watching this. The Disney Renaissance era was definitely the best, I'm so glad I was born when I was. Growing up with Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid.. definitely a magical time.

@milkytwix I wasn't techicaly born with them. Only Lion King 2 and above. I was born on 1998. Now all those Disney Movies are a bunch of crap. I love all the old classic disney movies. My favorites are Lion King, Teasure Planet, Robbin hood, and basicly all. :)

Is it just me, or does Belle look really fat in that dress?? She is supposed to be 'the beauty' but come on, that colour (what do you call it? @Mongoose015 OK calm down, I was only complaining about the dress, not the person in the dress! The dress is just a piece of fabric, it has nothing to do with Belle's personality. And Belle is not fat, I was just saying that the modell of the dress maybe isn't so flattering for her figure. And that she needs a tan, but many people needs a tan in the winter. I'm sure Belle is a real sweetheart, even though her style isn't that great lol :)
