  • Hell even I get choked up when I see Paul getting choked up over Hawk's death.

  • bronson got out

  • Gotta love the rolled up wall street journal....still lol

  • Ellering should be treasury secretary

  • does he really read those damn news papers

  • @joeytrimble He is a big time investor, a member of Mensa, he is the real deal.

  • Paul was the real deal. Bobby the Brain was just a TV manager. Paul Ellering was the REAL DEAL, not a fake manager

  • The managers manager ^^

  • give it up for the best manager of all time

  • Everyone knows that Rocco was the driving force behind the LOD, not Paul Ellering.

  • Brody, this guy was crazy. I would love to see him wrestle back in the day.

  • Bobby Heenan was asked about Ellering and said "He couldn't draw a dime. He just stood there with his rolled up Wall Street Express." I tend to think that statement is more accurate than not.

  • He made his chops as a manager rather than a wrestler. I heard a story when Ellering first started he was used to draw in girls like a teen idol.

  • He did that's how he got the nickname Precious

  • The thing is they had 2 different styles. Ellering in his early years as a heel manager was much more animated than later on as a face. With all due respect, Heenan did much more to try and draw attention to himself and at times had to depending on who he was taking to the ring. Ellering didn't need to "draw a dime" the Warriors were the attraction. Also, I love Heenan and his funny quips but to me Ellering could do a great angry evil heel interview that Heenan couldn't touch.

  • @bigpaulie68 I agree with you, and I love Heenan. But different managers have different styles like you said. Ellering didn't need to draw attention to himself, he had Hawk and Animal. J.J. Dillon is the same way, he had the Horsemen.

  • @bigpaulie68 oh i definintely agree....I love Bobby, but I think he's wrong about Ellering....Paul was the PERFECT manager for LOD...the Road Warriors didn't need a manager that was larger than life and took attention away from the team, because the Warriors were larger than life themselves....LOD needed a manager who could be more subdued, yet still make you know that he was always there and that his presence was felt....Paul was a different kind of heel manager than Heenan, perfect for LOD

  • @bigpaulie68 Bobby the Brain Heenan had some of the best one liners of anybody in wrestling. His comentaries with Toney Shavoni and especially Gorilla Monsoon were classic. He'd just say the craziest and funniest shit with a complete straight face. Precious Paul Ellering was more of the "mad scientist" kinda manager as Hawk said he was the conductor of the out of control freight train lol. A lot of the old school managers expected the wrestlers to wrestle & shut up during promos, not Ellering.

  • he would have not been much without the warriors....but they would have never made it without him either.

kinda like peanut butter with no jelly...it just isnt the same.

or a mustang 5.0 with no transmission. you see you have to have the whole package or it doesnt work.

you would never have a teacher teaching a classroom with no students...

do you see where i am going with this?

you must have a complete team not half.

  • so, paul ellering would've been NOT MUCH, but road warriors would've been nothin without eachother, more like roadwarriors would've been the same with him, without him,..shit they would've been fine walkin to the ring with big bird, but ellering would've been nothin without the warriors

  • i dont get it , explain more

  • "Out of all the people who've passed away, was he (Hawk I presume) the one who touched you the most?

Uh, let's think about that when you ask that question to Paul Fuckin Ellering, what's next, you're going to ask Animal that question?

    Idiot...

  • brody was the man rip hawk

  • DUDE, can someone tell me where the heck you can purchase this DVD???

  • rf video website, if u dont have a credit card you can jsut get a pre-paid credit card and they work the same, i do it all the time for these vids

  • hawk vs brody would have been a good match but Hawk would have won!

  • Dude, come on Hawk is the man don't ya ever forget it..... dude!

  • LOD? What the fuck is LOD? I only know the Road Warriors, not some WWF/E watered down version. :P

  • The Road Warriors were part of the Legion of Doom before the WWF.

  • The LOD started in Georgia. Ellering had Jake the Snake Roberts,King Kong Bundy and Buzz Sawyer as members. Ellering managed Sawyer in the Battle Of Atlanta match with Tommy Rich. Somebody PLEASE have a copy of that match even if its a small piece.

  • Georgia never filmed the match. The promotion built up the match, but they never took any cameras into the Omni. I have seen pictures of the match. GORY!!!!

  • he was also a legit manager as in he handled all the arangments for hawk and aminal.

  • Apparently he had long ago made himself financially independent. He was 'JBL' before 'JBL'.

  • Paul Ellering seems a genuine, intelligent good hearted guy.

  • damm paul still rocking the wall street journal, even in a recession lol

  • lol, Paul is an actual member of Mensa and the journal is his paper of choice

  • @chriskoob alot of wrestlers jhust become their character. flair believes he is flair, The iron shiek is still talking about pontiac michigan, the warrior is the warrior. Sometimes wrestelrs just get rid of who they are in reality and they become their character.
