Watching some of the cow slaughter its easy to tell the ones that are done in factories that are slaughtering based on set religious ways. speaking of which, all kosher on religious merits are done under special licenses and methods are verified by FSIS as well as the state. The only part I didn't find disturbing was the fishing part... While killing non-target animals is bad I am a avid fisher and so really dont care about fish...(I only eat what I catch so that might be a part of it too) but I agree the cruelty these animals endure makes me kind of sick. Most of those workers need to be locked away for severe mental illness that can be a threat to other individuals. Sorry I won't stop eating meat but I'll be MUCH more careful where I buy from...
Becoming vegan or vegetarian is not the answer. If everyone becomes vegan or vegetarian then these animals cease to have a purpose. They are meant to be food. I do NOT believe that they should be treated this way though. I buy and eat free range meat from farms I know and trust. The animals I eat are killed quickly and painlessly as possible and live as full a life as possible. There ARE other solutions.

its NOT impossible to feed the entire countrys populatoin of meat eaters without using a "factory-like mannor". why cant any district have a farm and locally feed the people in the area. this would also be cheaper for the people who live there. but the reason that is not the case, is because the people who own the very few large meat companies really like money, and want to be the only source of cheap meat for the entire country. and this is the result.
Honestly, what do people expect? There are 312,708,000 people in the United States alone. Feeding that many people is impossible in a non factory-like manner. I do agree that the people that "handle" the animals are usually needlessly cruel to them (something that needs to be stopped) but there is no humane way to kill that many animals. They can't all be given painkillers but they can at least be killed in a faster manner, as opposed to suffocating them or unsuccessfully breaking their necks.

I don't believe that there is a painless way of killing anything. But most of these people are trained, they aren't just everyday people, they know what they are doing. It is very sad, but it's not new. People have been eating meat since they existed. The process today is actually a lot less cruel today than it was before.

The only part I didn't find disturbing was the fishing part... While killing non-target animals is bad I am a avid fisher and so really dont care about fish...(I only eat what I catch so that might be a part of it too) but I agree the cruelty these animals endure makes me kind of sick. Most of those workers need to be locked away for severe mental illness that can be a threat to other individuals. Sorry I won't stop eating meat but I'll be MUCH more careful where I buy from...

Becoming vegan or vegetarian is not the answer. If everyone becomes vegan or vegetarian then these animals cease to have a purpose. They are meant to be food. I do NOT believe that they should be treated this way though. I buy and eat free range meat from farms I know and trust. The animals I eat are killed quickly and painlessly as possible and live as full a life as possible. There ARE other solutions.

its NOT impossible to feed the entire countrys populatoin of meat eaters without using a "factory-like mannor". why cant any district have a farm and locally feed the people in the area. this would also be cheaper for the people who live there. but the reason that is not the case, is because the people who own the very few large meat companies really like money, and want to be the only source of cheap meat for the entire country. and this is the result.

Honestly, what do people expect? There are 312,708,000 people in the United States alone. Feeding that many people is impossible in a non factory-like manner. I do agree that the people that "handle" the animals are usually needlessly cruel to them (something that needs to be stopped) but there is no humane way to kill that many animals. They can't all be given painkillers but they can at least be killed in a faster manner, as opposed to suffocating them or unsuccessfully breaking their necks.

If one can watch this and really throw their hands up like it's impossible, not even consider a vegetarian or vegan diet as even a remote possibility, or even cutting back on meat consumption, then I don't know, they're weak lazy slaves to their desires. It's a better allocation of resources, it's cheaper, and it's healthier to eat vegetarian, there's really no logical excuse.

Honestly a lot of stuff in this video is a humane way to kill animals. The neck-breaking and throat slitting is a quick way of killing. Notice I did not say painless. I don't believe that there is a painless way of killing anything. But most of these people are trained, they aren't just everyday people, they know what they are doing. It is very sad, but it's not new. People have been eating meat since they existed. The process today is actually a lot less cruel today than it was before.
