everything's right about that kinda, lol except the pinky finger thing. i don't know where he came up with that, but the important thing to remember is that all fingers should stay on the stick at all times. that is not too say grip the stick tight, but there is only one fulcrum and that is b/w the index and thumb.

my right pinkie finger is seveerly damaged and can not move so what do i do about that?

Mine's double jointed and weak, so I just keep it out of the way, usually hanging out or curled in the palm of my hand. You certainly don't need it to play the drums, so my advice is focus on strengthening your other fingers and play rebounds with your middle/ring fingers.
