  • Great tip!! Thanks man!!

  • Good video... this is a very commonly used tool and one of the first things most vocal coaches will teach though... seems a bit strange that ur claiming to have discovered this technique. Great video nonetheless. :oD

  • Keep up the awsome videos and be the next YouTube king lmao

  • Wow.....I just tried this and I'm amazed.. where did this voice come from??? LOL, I never knew I could sing like this!!

  • Please someone kindly explain it to me.....please.....

  • I tried it.It was very confusing.

  • im confused.can someone explain this to me :/

  • i love you! for real no joke thanks so much !! like i would pay 500 euro's for this thaank youuuu xoxo

  • Thank you soooo much for this video!!! i've been having trouble hitting my high notes in choir class and I couldn't figure out why. Thanks!!! :)

  • what an amazing trick, its one of those illusive obvious things, its so obvious people never even have a thought about doing the opposite of logic when it comes to singing!

  • Thank you so much. I used to sing a lot, but as strange as it may sound lost the confidence and the ability after my Mum died 8 years ago. Family kindly say I still can, and they went a bundle on my 'Liquid Gold' composition (feel free to look it up on my channel if you like) but I still dont think it's right. Would love your opinion, if you can spare me a couple of minutes of your valuable time, and maybe you can tell me where I'm going wrong, because it doesnt sound right to me...Kerri Powles

  • @77MyEsha i am so sorry for your loss i hope you sing and fuffil your dream

  • Think that when you sing higher don't tilt your head make the sound go forward and slightly down

  • "THINK AS IF YOU ARE GOING DOWN" while striking the higher notes,,

could someone please tell me what does this line mean? please!!

  • @roark2howard oh my god that totally worked ok so what you do is um well what i did is i took my finger and as i was hiting the high notes i make my finger go down and down thinking i am lowering my voice so that will make your mind and body think it a lower note

  • @roark2howard ive been hearing this alot and it really does work! you just have to devote every thought you would originally think wile singing to concentrate on going down when u strike those higher notes. and the other way around of course. for sure you will get it. just takes some time. good luck!

  • Thank you sir! You've made an amazing improvement in my voice! :D

  • Interesting.

  • Hollyyyyyyy shizzam. It works!

  • Brilliant. Thank you.

  • lol i was thinking it wouldnt work but it actually did . :)

  • Sweet it worked

  • I seemed to alwayz try doin that ... but im probably doin it wrong

  • i dont get it like going down . like what am i suppposed to picture while going up? its weird idk how

  • @98roflol You use the same muscles to sing high notes as you do when you go to the bathroom or give birth if you're a girl. You "push down" with those muscles to sing high notes.

  • Tried your technique, work like a charm, but now finding it difficult to add emotions, i've got more control and power but lost emotions

  • @WhiteboyBlack1

Don't try too hard in the beginning. Give your voice time to adjust to the technique and you'll develop more power than ever!

  • @SingingMadeSimple You probably get this a lot but you look like Joe Jackson.

  • @musicismymistress Thank you for commenting :-)

  • so from what i understand is that its all in the mind, the technique comes from the process not fully on the lungs, right?

  • unbelieveable, I didn't think anything could work for any more. This one made a difference, Tnx

  • HOW DO I KNOW IF MY VOICE IS ENOUGH GOOD TO BECOME A POP SINGER?

  • Can you be my voice coach? LOL but really can you?

  • To make it easier for u guys, you have to feel like yawning, so your larynx could go down.

  • OMG... IT WORKS!

  • can you only have clients from the US,

and can you check out my videos and tell me what i need to improve in my voice.. because i really love singing, but i want to improve my voice more.. ive never taken a voice lesson before, ive learned it alone..

    please help!!

  • neat lil trick..interesting information..

  • Er, I've already know this.... BUT how do I DO this? Thinking "up" when I sing low doesn't change anything....

  • It's wierd.....Other peole say my singing voice is fine...nothing to wrtie home about, but fine. Yet to me it sound horrible. I breath well (trained from acting) and I use all of your tips, and it has seen some improvement. I have a fair range, and I can sing at Tenor if I want, but I sound best and feel most comfertable around the Baritone/Bass range, closer to Bass. Some of my friends and I are planning to start an acapella group. Random burst of information XD

  • That was very helpful... Now can you be my vocal coach? LOL No but I'm serious...

  • @Go0dGirl81 You can email my assistant for information about becoming a client of mine. His name is Kasey and you can email him at kasey(at)rogerburnley(dot)com

  • Do you think anybody can sing? Or is it only some people with tremendous talent?

  • @jc72la5stout Absolutely! Anyone can sing.

  • thankyouu bigg help!!!!

  • im sorry, but am i dumb if i didnt understand/this didnt help me?

  • @Bergerz94 You are not dumb. It just takes a little while to re-train your voice.

  • I am also a vocal coach in Sydney Australia and I teach this too! it works! Great video!

Simone Waddell from Sing Play Groove.

  • holy shit this actually helps a lot lol

  • it works!....yesss!

  • the BIG problem that i am facing is, i am a singer and people say that my voice sounds good in normal condition, BUT when i am recording my voice or speaking over a microphone, it sounds really horrible. It feels overtly high pitched and very synthetic or artificial. I am really at a loss and feel ashamed if asked to sing over a microphone to an audience. I really hope yo can suggest me some remedy to this embarrassing problem. Thanks a load.

  • @iampotterprince i have the same exact problem!

it makes you think twice about singing in front of people or on a micrphone like you said. It's really frustrating. It makes me feel confused.

  • @iampotterprince hey that happened to me to and i think that i have a horrible voice

  • @iampotterprince know how you feeeeel man. i have a similar issue. acoustically my voice is seamless but the same thing through a mic or recording sounds... well.. different. shaky. maybe it's our head-states i'm not sure :/

  • @iampotterprince probly how you sing into the mike or just the quality of the mic

  • @iampotterprince i feel the same as u do... i had a band too, and we traveled to another city here in denmark (europe) just to perform in the scene, but i feel uncomfortable of my voice.

  • wow. I also found this out on my own but I didn't know how to explain it. Thanks for giving me some clarity. :)

  • Technically, you bend your neck forward, you can sing high. Look upward and you can sing low.

I'm bad a singing too... i realized this when i was just doodling in the shower.

I breathe right... though, SOMETIMES my will trip into the nasal zone, and i'm still having some trouble with resonance.

I'm an E2-G4 as well.. bass.

I have no idea why i shared all of that information... i guess it's because i have no one else to share it with. :-(

  • thanks this helped alot :D

  • it did kinda work for me...thanks!!!

  • it does help a little. thanks. i thinks work but its more for higher note not singing in general

  • im a lover of singing and i just cant get this...my vocal renge is a little lower than i want it to be and i want to sing this song and it has some higher part than my vocal range and i really want to get this and i need help...any suggestions???? <3 samantha

  • @Thornkitty Great news! You will continue to improve with this one...

  • thanx a lottttt!.. it works!

  • @yasteejay I'm glad to help

  • @ros143111 You are not doing the warms up correctly and that is causing your fatigue. You should be able to sing for hours on end without that happening. I'd be happy to work with you to correct this problem.

  • @ros143111 You were taught or formed some habits that are causing these problems but can easily be corrected with the correct technique. The voice is quite resilient when good habits are developed.

  • So simple yet no one cared to tell the world. For that i thank you for helping me reach my full patenshal :)

  • @lildes1223 Glad to help.

  • Oh my gosh! This is amazing. I'm an alto and I've been singing for years, but I have ALWAYS ALWAYS struggled to hit anything above a high D, especially when I'm not warmed up. I haven't sand all day and I just tried this. My voice just sounds so much more confident and Ahhh! I'm so happy I found this.

  • the first video i have seen with no dislikes! yay!

  • Oh my gosh, thank you! My upper range weakened after I got laryngitis, but this trick helps a me get those notes!

  • @AlienMoon1342 You're welcome.

  • Only thing that you need to be careful of is not to go flat or sharp depending on which direction you're going. I found myself going flat when trying to hit my higher notes whilst thinking of going lower. It'll definitely take some practice

  • This totally works Im in the sound of music and i have to sing really high for this one line that goes When you Know the notes to sing..you can sing most anything! and its very difficult this really helped me thanks!

  • @aquacutiex3 I'm glad that this helps and congratulations on your part in The Sound of Music.

  • wow this works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • umm my vocal coach pratices with me vocal excirses , everytime i sing on stage i sing excellant but when i dnt sing on stsge my voice cracks and i need that not to happen what if somebdy calls me on the spot to sing what do i do.

  • @acrockrom It seems like you're experiencing something very common. Many times it might be easier to sing in front of a larger audience, rater than a single person or a small group, so your nerves may be getting the better of you. When you start to feel the nerves, just recognize that it's only energy and decide to use that energy in your performance, rather than trying to stop it.

  • i dont get it

  • @themrbananahead I would like to refer you over to my free blog, as you will get more info there and see how I've responded to others questions, which should help... The address to the blog: myfreesinginglesson(dot)com

  • when i try to think about going down, it makes me think about going up even more!!!

  • I break a sweat just thinking about hitting a high note!

  • I don't mean to sound blunt, but holy shit this works well.

  • love it love it love it

    thanks so much !

  • I'm sure this video works! :) But I am having troubles understanding what you mean by making myself "think" that my voice is going down. Please help!
