OMG, I can't believe you came to Australia!. And so close to where I live! (Ipswich, near Brisbane). The Gold Coast is like less then 2 hours drive for me. Did you do appearances while you were here? It would have been fantastic to have come and seen you!. I have been a Red Dwarf fan for so long. Please come back again and please do the Movie here not if but *when* it happens! ;)Good luck to you mate! .-.-.
I hope you don't mind me asking, but why are you in Australia Bobby? Is it just a holiday? Is Red Dwarf: The Movie still gonna be shot over there (if it EVER happens)?
looked such a lovely place - much better than back here in the north of england, not that it was particually cold for the middle of winter and christmas...just kind of boring.
The problem with Heathrow was building it near all those reservoirs once the temp hits the dew point those reservoirs are terrific fog generators. I like swimming but am crap at it as well.
I can swim now. I learned about 15 years ago, and it was really a tough thing to do when you are older. I love swimming, but I am really rubbish at it.
did you ever learn to swim robert . i know in your book the man in the rubber mask you mentioned you could'nt .
what a cool place to spend christmas and the new year . i live on the coast in dublin . i love the sea . no beaches like the one you were on and the water is a flip sight colder but a bit of sand all the same :) glad to see you made it out to oz and back safely . have a good 2007 !
Wow, I'm not envyous really! nice place to spend christmas! i'm the same as you i only go in the sea up to my ankles.. anything further is a bit too risky for me!! Happy new year anyway.
Since Robert never answered that bit, I will...
Based largely on the commentary for Camille (RD), Robert's significant (don't think they were married then), Judy, is an Aussie.
Must've been visiting her family
Jealous? Me? Never!

That is a lovely beach. I like the sounds of the waves in the background, I wish Morecambe had a beach like that.

Very lovely place! Your droll narration keeps it interesting.
Try living in New England for a winter - your lot barely survived it a few centures ago. ;)
