How much of the materials are free and how much do you need to buy? Seems like you can get old tires pretty cheap if not free. Though solar panels would be the most expennsive.
I was told by someone who sells real-state that these homes are considered an odd type of homes. She acted like no one would let me build what i want. I find it interesting because there are so many that do not like to take a risk with things. I like Micheal's building thoughts and how this helps out our earth. One day i plan to build one of these homes for my future. I love the fact that this type of home is built in the U.S. And i would love to see more built in the U.S
The first Earthship built in Florida was constructed in Lake Helen more than 20 yrs ago. The County of Volusia even gave some grant money to help with the project.
