Nice performance, pretty musical. the tone could be a little better, but this piece is a chopbuster, so I understand. I don't think you're playing with enough finesse. sounds too harsh, remember Charlier is french, play it french. but man, just keep with it. I wish I could play like that when I was your age.

What are you talking about? His sound is awesome. I do agree that stylistically it could be a lot lighter.

Interesting with the piano, though I think it detracts from the piece in several places. Nice job on the trumpet, Matt!
