  • bigest sh*t - the mix & Dicer kids toys too :)

  • are the dicers mappable?

  • I have Pioneer cdj-350 ! does it fit there? or does it only fit to cdj 2000?

  • Hey, is that Lorn - "None an Island"? Novation have taste!

Bit hard to tell when it's sped up heaps though...

  • Comment removed

  • Now that's how you sell a product! Great Demo!

  • What Turntables Do You Use?

  • fresh!

  • By far the best option for me! I have the Traktor Kontrol X1....but too big to fit into my setup, the dicers are perfect because they fit on my Technics perfectly! I love it, it beats other midi controllers if you have a "where to put this midi controller?" problem, like I did.

  • what was the last song

  • This is perfect, no need to touch the mixer or computer for cuepoints or loops and it works on technics and whatever those toys were he was playing around on at the end of the video.

  • can you map it to virtual dj?

  • i have the same question as lumpygoatman.... how did you have the turntables & CDJs connected to serato at the same time???

  • that shit's gay. everything digital is gay. Raiders?...gay. Water?...gay.

what I really love is all the comments from the novation employees. must have been a condition of the fuckmas bonsuses. (bonusese?...boni?)

fuck a dicer. learn to juggle if you wanna juggle. all this shit's just stuff for cheating for rich kids with no skills.

actually bobby digital is not gay. my clock's not gay. nothing is gay except the Raiders and water.

  • Nice!

  • does serato save the cue points after u switch songs or turn off the system?

  • how did you have the two turntables and CDJs connected to serato at the one time???

  • Can you run the dicer from a USB hub?

I'm running out of USB ports! haha

  • @DjInsurance if u run a hub get a powered one they work better and cause no problems other than finding a spot to plug in the power.

  • Could you set 5 different loops and have it go into the loop as it reaches the point? If not, it's not a device I'm looking for. It would help to have a song with verses and hooks that most people are familiar with to use as a demo.

  • wait a minute... this novation dicer & serato controller are almost the same but dicer is cheaper, then again serato controller can do what the dicer does plus more (dont have to touch the computer)

    so which one to get?

i think serato controller is better cuz it has cue points buttons, which i use alot!

  • Would this work with Stantons turntables?

  • Mine come in today. i'm pretty durn excited.

  • When you release the auto-loop, does it start playing again from when you started auto-loop, or does it continue playing in the background and plays from where it should actually play from?

  • @DJDavverMusic nonono i mean loop-roll, not auto loop.

  • does this only work with scratch live?

  • @SicMaggot5891 The Dicers are effectively MIDI devices so will work with any software which respond to MIDI. There are Traktor mappings and instructions available on our website also.

  • @NovationTV I have done the mappings on traktor and they still do not work. please provide alternative?

  • @SicMaggot5891 If you have a technical problem regarding the Mappings with Traktor, please contact our support page and we will talk you through getting up and running as soon as possible.

  • does this only work with serato?

  • you could easily get a midi keyboard with knobs and buttons to do this. the dicer is nie and compact though.

  • lame.

  • BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!

  • Novation, I'm trying to understand the point of a dicer if you already using the cdj 2000? The cdj 200 already does the looping and hot cues with serato in HID mode. The only advantage I see for the dicer with a cdj 2000 is controlling the samples and effects.

  • @SirRodbo You have a number of freely assignable buttons that can control Serato's fx, mix controls as well as hot cues and loop rolls. MIDI mapping also allows you to select tracks, crates and the Dicer fits perfectly onto your turntable, CDJ or laptop. It also works with Traktor.

  • hi! i am new to this machine and really do not know how it works!i got the software from the web and it doesn't look the same.the mchine turns on however the dice light doesn't want to turn on!what sould i do????

  • @djrikon76 There is a Dicer Troubleshooting Guide you can go through with other helpful articles on the Novation website.

If you continue to have difficulties please contact support at Novation.

  • then what are the decks for?????

  • HATE IT

  • The first Novation device i don't wanna have

  • those no need to use this for a CDJ, it already has cue points and loops on it. I think it is a great addition to the turntable though

  • @pittster57 incorrect.

  • @djbis say what? your saying your cdjs don't have loop set and cue points.

  • @pittster57 Serato ScratchLIVE saves cue points and loop points on the tracks, CDJ's do this per CD. SSL offers 5 Cuepoints per track, and a ton of loop points that can be triggered as loops while the CDJ controls limit your capability to use all of the SSL tools. Loops can be used as effects on SSL as well. So in summary, whether you are using Dicer or just the keyboard, you have a great advantage over somebody working in ABS mode with CDJ's alone.

It is a day and night difference.

  • the ending was dope! its that ease now the touch of a button haha

  • Do I need to upgrade to Scratch LIVE 2.1? (which is still in beta) Because the LED Dicer Buttons won't turn on, if I'm using the 2.0 (only the 3 mode buttons)

  • @djrmatic In Scratch LIVE 2.1 and above the assignments for the dicer will already made and you will get LED feedback.

  • can these only be use with serato? or can you use them with mixvibes?

  • @TheDjBrynny Since the Dicers work via MIDI you can use them with any software that supports MIDI. There is no pre-made mapping for mixvibes, however.

  • As a pro company, they sure do make shitty sound on this video

  • I hate to say it, but this rig is way better than DJ Hero.

  • Where can i buy one?

  • Not worth the money.

  • @fkthewhat Really? I'd say it was pretty good value. It would cost you more than that to make one yourself (unless you consider considerable amounts of your own time to be free). Nobody else does anything like this, so you're basically buying a boutique design at a high-street price.

You can buy a Core i3 for $120, but they're made in the tens of millions. The crazy economies of scale in the computer industry shouldn't skew your perception of the cost of what's basically a musical instrument.

  • can you pls make a video of the dicers with tracktor scratch pro

  • how can this fit on the numark ttx? well? need some answers from novation please.thanks in advance.

  • @bomotsot The 45-adapter on the dicers detaches and DJ Putty is provided so that Dicer can be mounted almost anywhere. We haven't tested with this specific turntable, but we have mounted a Dicer on an uneven surface, with the power button underneath, but not touching the underside of the Dicer. It worked well. Alternatively, mount the Dicers on the mixer...

  • damn cool ^^

  • Use your ears!!

  • Each controller needs its own usb?? I only have 2 usb slots on my computer. One is already used up by my 57 mixer. Can I use a hub?

  • @djaward The Dicers are USB powered, the second cable is a mini jack lead connecting the two dicers, this allows them to connect to the computer and be powered using a single USB port.

  • @NovationTV Thank you. When will these release in the US? I want a pair now. LOL

  • nice.....should i stop saving for the 57sl???

  • i need it for TORQ now- no latter than NOW

  • @ yall !!!! what happens @ the dmc champs now ? im a bit outa the loop with dmc's can dj's use set uos like this and the ni's tractor controler ... gone are the days of chucking stickers on ya records and flipin n cuttin thrown n scratchin .

  • mannnnn theres somthing new every week.......lets keep it simple.......pleasessssss.....

  • @jmfbabyj i here ya bro not long ago i set my korg padkontrol up to do this and then when i saw the dicer i was thinking of getting a pair . then thought screw this consumer izm im sticking with the pk as its mad for producing natural drum rolls and shit ... still love my novation remote mk 2 tho novation people !!!!!

  • do u have to use it with serato? can u just use it if ur not a laptop dj?

  • @jrc694 The Dicer is fully MIDI assignable therefore you can use it with any other DJ software, such as Traktor.

  • @NovationTV what about if u dont use any program to dj?

  • @jrc694 This needs to be connected to a computer and some software to work. You couldn't use it without a computer since it sends MIDI via USB.

  • where do i get that shit i need itt!!!

  • cant wait for these...looks like a new toy in july

  • hey body whats the name of the last song

  • @PORFI11

The track list is at the end of the vid

  • very interesting, i like these innovations man, gives DJ's soo many options, I'm still at the Daniel Son stage but yo...I would like to use this!

  • cool idea, but also useless.

  • lorn!

  • they do... but the shaking is from the stand not the dicers,,,,

  • @neiltrix Whoa, neil trix as in Breakin up???

Mate those CDjs at 1001 are on a well shaky platter, have you rinsed them? I liked the springboard effect they gave me! Nice product novation, thinking 1 to 5 rather that dice numbering? I'll be getting some for sure.

  • @INtheFOGofDESIGN yes this is me !

  • @neiltrix right i just though that was fun to watch and mention not blaming the dicers

  • watch he pioneers shake as he presses the buttons

  • cant you already go all that on the mixer using one hand instead of two? very dumb idea

  • @kraalwig you know its one of those things when i first saw it i thought was dumb now ... not so dumb

  • awesome

  • Awesome demo man, I am wanting to be a dj like you, you are my hero. Your tunes are sick0 blood
