@Moraes1995 I thought the same thing when I heard this without a video, I digress when I found out it wasn't. None the less, a great voice to a great band :)
i bought this acoustic albumn for my mum's birthday. its insane. seriously every song is good. and my mum loved it lol. so even if you're middle aged you'll like it lol. sorry mumx :P
@MrEmiyo Ok, Kroeger's not a bad singer, it's just that he can only sing one song, so he rewrote that song 12 times per album, and made his career off of that one song, redone over and over. (Kroeger is the vocalist for Nickleback, in case you didn't know that) My point being all of his songs sound the same, and he sings them well, but that's all he can sing.
@Shiek200 Have you even listened to the albums? Hero the Spiderman soundtrack? The songs he played with Santana? And how is songs like Burn it to the Ground, Side of a Bullet, Animals etc even close to How You Remind Me?
@gobucs34 Ok, first off, no need to get so defensive, I'm not saying he's bad. However, the majority of his songs are extraordinarily similar. Secondly, of course he's going to have a few unique songs, if he didn't then he really WOULD suck, which I'm not saying he does. I'm just saying that about 80-90% of his music is the same song with a few changes to the riffs and solos and such, but not enough changes to warrant it as truly unique.
@gobucs34 Yeah, but not the majority of they're songs. And with Nickleback, that's the case! Again, don't get me wrong, I like the band, I just see EXTREMELY little variety...
@Shiek200 Thats your opinion I'll admit songs like Savin Me and Far Away sound alike but on the whole album theres slow songs, more rock songs, fun ones like This Afternoon. Seeing them live is cool too.
@gobucs34 I'll not deny you your right to your opinion. I'll also thank you for the manner in which you gave it. If we had more people like you on youtube, we'd have more opinions, and less trolls. cheers.
Such a good voice live... that's the sign of someone who knows what the hell they are doing. It gets disappointing to go to shows and hear a crappy vocal performance compared to the studio. Shaun Morgan is a beast.
@TheBatchGuy I would agree that he's not that good in terms of having a huge range or anything like that, but for what he does he's really solid, always on key and he's got awesome tone (again, for what he does). He knows what he's got and how to use it. Cheers mate
@westpsmity Much like Benjamin Burnley (Breaking Benjamin), and Billy Joe (Green Day), He doesn't have much of a range, but he has amazing control over his voice.
brilliant. its made all the more amazing when you realise shaun had a stomach ulcer when these songs were recorded. i never had one, but i imagine they're a bit painful?
Yes, Lady Gaga or whatever sucks live. Without autotune they can't sing or make any music. Seether is a really really good band. But Metallica is still my God.
Haha it does kinda sound like that. I think they are more talented then nirvana, Plus seether is not afraid of being in the limelight. Kurt hated being famous.
before Seether they were Saron Gas (in South Africa) and before that Shaun and Dale were in a Nirvana tribute band for about 4 years, so yeah - I'd imagine their earlier stuff, more than others, has a massive influence from them
@zombielincon lies. When they rip a guitar track out. they plug it into a computer. so they get the guitar only and no feedback. Same with bass. the vocals are done in a quiet room with nothing but the vocalist and a microphone. drums would be done on an electric kit connected to the computer. so there is no enchancing. its just a way to get rid of any background noises
The song Remedy was the song that introduced me to Seether. On its own, the original version was so bad ass, and once I heard that there WAS an acoustic version I instantly thought "WTF?! There just tryin to make more money with a dumb idea." But i was oh so wrong =) I am now a HUGE Seether fan and haven't heard a bad song since, if there are any of you people reading this and you're not a big fan of seether, you will be soon, Trust me. And in my opinion, he does NOT sound like Kurt Cobain lol
Oh, come on you people... Shaun is like Jurt for one very simple reason- Both Nirvana and Seether are making amazing grunge. end of story. i remember i played this song at school graduation party, every body said it was very bad ass for a song played on a acoustic guitar.
I found out about Seether from "Remedy" too! This is the band that got me away from listening to shitty rap music and brought me to this type of music.
I thought he was trying to bite his teeth at 2:33. Anyway, this song definately badder than a dog bigger than it.
