'Entertainment Weekly reports that Reznor has revamped the Year Zero track "Zero-Sum" specifically for J.J. Abrams' eminently goofy paranormal TV drama "Fringe".'

Vox are from lines of dialogue that Leonard Nimoy's character has spoken on the show. According to EW, 'if you look at the track's sound waves digitally, you'll see one of the show's "glyphs."

Apparently, Fringe executive producer Jeff Pinkner told EW that Reznor actually turned down any payment for his services.'

Seems natural. NIN's "Year Zero" album (of which this song is from) was kind of intended to be the basis of a new sci fi show in the vein of Lost (which Trent is also a big fan of). Doesnt seem like that show will happen now unfortunately.

@FringeForYou Well its cause with the Fringe Promo,they just used Reznor's spoken diaologe,along with the chrous of Zero Sum.They never fully used the whole song due to being 6 minutes long

I love NIN and Fringe but I detest baseball. I am VERY greatful for the person who posted this.

When I heard Trent was doing this, my mind was blown and it turned out awesome. i'd love to see him do come more colaborations like this in the future.

When I heard that reznor was re-recording zero-sum for a Fringe promo, i almost started crying, because i just got into fringe, and i have a wetspot for NIN...

anyway, i now really REALLY regret getting rid of my copy of season one before i even got to watch any of it...

Í watched x-files to and it's is not like that, you might have a slight similiar idea in 1 or 2 eisodes, but until now for me I haven't seen almost any similarities
