  • Whenever we watch this DVD this is my parents' least favorite song, they only watch it because it's one of my absolute favorites!!! :)

  • 2:37

  • Just when you think she can't take this to another level.....up she go's.

Best single she never released. Sure it would have done well in the charts.

  • Simply fantastic.....

  • @jtcon1018 this was shown 1999/2000 for ALW 60th I think!

  • @Answl82 50th actually :P there is another for his 60

  • Wonderful presentation!!!!!

  • Such a shame Whitsle Down the Wind wasnt the more popular x JA x

  • I love her dancing in this. She's so much better than those other dancers.

  • If there's slower death than living in this town, they haven't found it yet!

  • Amazing choreography!

  • Actually this song was written by both Jim Steinman and Andrew Lloyd Webber for the musical Whistle down the wind....

  • Was this number written by Andrew Lloyd Webber? If so, what was it written for?

  • @oneworldguy

    Whistle Down The Wind.

  • @oneworldguy

    Song&Dance

  • anyone know where i can get an mp3 of this song? i can't find it anywhere! :(

  • great song , bonnie`s songs arent songs, they are mini epics

  • this was 1998

  • Love this song, how many levels can a song lift?. Just when you think she's peaked up she go's again. Briliant.

  • JIM. STEINMAN. FUCKING. ROCKS

The songs he's produced with Bonnie Tyler are amazing...they form almost the entirety of my iPod's playlist. Love every one of his songs...this one is no exception. Bonnie does it more than justice

  • i met BONNIE in MELBOURNE truely awsome lady ,love her so much.

  • great song from queen of rock. meatloaf sung this too. awesome

  • @uwmatt

she should done duets with meatloaf

    king and queen of rock.

  • the best version for this song !

  • oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!fantastic!!!!!! saw bonnie in derry 2008. none better. got a fab photo with her backstage. pride of place for all to view!

  • GODDESS & ROCK DIVA!

  • this woman has rocked me since i was 17 truely

    awsome woman.

  • numer one !!! Bonie Tyler(^.^)

  • This song s totally awesome n she looks so stunning n amazing great performance too! She s the one always in my heart. LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing.

  • Tyler is much better than the girl in the Original Soundtrack. She has so much desperation in her voice. GREAT!

  • she's perfect for this song, she's got the vibe down and the voice

  • The tune itself has an interesting history. It started out in the 80's as a Eurodisco-type song called "English Girls" in Andrew Lloyd Webber's show "Song and Dance." Sarah Brightman performed it in London, and Bernadette Peters performed it on Broadway. It was pretty cheesy; the tune works a lot better here.

  • Damn, Bonnie can still sing the hell out of a song. She's totally hot here.

  • l don't know much about Whistle down the wind, only the songs featured in this concert. ls it worth looking into more?

  • If you like rock songs - I suppose so, I went to see it a couple of days back and I loved it.

  • LOL, I'm listening to this song and it is so classic Steinman that there are lines from other songs in it (like some of his other stuff).

    Must love Jim Steinman.

  • "Tire Tracks and broken hearts" is also from Meat Loaf's song "Peel Out" from the album Dead Ringer.

  • only jim steinman could get away with using the same lyrics in two songs :D

  • And only Andrew Lloyd Webber could get away with using the same tune twice... gotta love him :)

  • @TopGearFanForever Webber learned it from Jim Steinman.

  • Part of this song is at the end of the Meat Loaf song "A Kiss is a Terrible Thing to Waste" which was from the musical Whistle Down the Wind. Its a great song, jim Steinman is brilliant!!!!!

  • bloody brilliant.

    great lyrics

    great music

    great woman

    great voice

    great dancers

    great moves

    breath-taking.

  • I doubt she needs to try harder , she is great as she is..

  • Gawd she is fantastic still , alittle older, alittle um chunkier but hey ,,she still sings her ass off.. What a voice..

  • maybe she should try a little harder

  • I'd like to see you do better

  • i found out recently that the guy who wrote a lot of meatloaf's songs also worked on Whistle Down the Wind. explains why this song has that kind of show-stopping theatrical quality like meatloaf's music always has

  • Jim Steinman (the songwriter) wrote all of the songs on Meat Loaf's first two Bat Out of Hell albums, and made Bonnie Tyler famous by writing Total Eclipse of the Heart for her :)

  • the back up singers drowned out bonnies voice bet she would have sounded great at that part

    go bonnie !!!

  • I searched all over and it doesn't exist in any audio format. I couldn't find the cd, either. Wish i could...watched the Royal Albert Hall Celebration dvd and fell in love with this song and Michael Ball. You should check him out! He's a big star in England and has an amazing voice and really feels his songs.

  • Does someone have this song in mp3?

  • Thats what I want to know, does someone?

  • Yes i do have the song in mp3 version

  • As I said yesterday, yes I do have the song in mp3 format. Hope to have the full soundtrack by end of weekend

  • Love Bonnie & love the song - thanks for posting it x

  • So proud to be there jijijijij I have so much fun doing this concert as a dancer....

  • Love For That Song !

    Its Wunderfull !!

  • ya bettah SING, bonnie!

  • i love this song. andrew lloyd webber is the best.

  • hi all

  • Every time I'm down I listen to this song and it makes me feel a bit stronger.

  • the pre recoreded version is on Songs from Andrew lloyd Webber and Jim Steinmans Whisstle down the Wind (1998)

    and includes,

Meat loaf ,Tina Arena,Micheal Ball, Boy George, Boyzone, The Everly Brothers ,Tom Jones ,Lottie Mayor,Donny Osmond , Elain Paige and Sounds Of Blackness..

    Music By Webber

    Lyrics By Steinman

  • i love song so many childhood memories

    ohhhh yeahhh

  • You can tell this is a Steinman song ... he wrote most of his songs for the same musical. Check out "A Kiss is a Terrible Thing to Waste" by Meatloaf.

Meatloaf and Bonnie Tyler are two of my favorite artists. They really do Jim justice.

  • Emcallison, this is so not true... The same song (Tire Tracks) with a different orchestration and lyrics was in Webber's Song And Dance. Check out the cd with Bernadette Peters. The title of the song is English Girls. The American premiere (where the song was added to the material) was in 1985. WAY before Webber started to work with Steinman on Whistle.

  • I absolutely love this!!!

    Go Bonnie!!!

  • The back up singer in the middle don't know the words!!!

Think about that:you have to sing at the wonderful "Royal Albert Hall",on tv,with great and famous singer, the Andrew Loydd Webber'songs...what's the first thing you have to do do?Make up?Hairs?Maybe learn the words of the songs that you have to sing!!!

    It's a shame!

    Ps:Bonnie here is absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

  • wow.this performance leaves me in awe....Bonnie was outstanding....amazing.

  • It's Good if You Here The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Lyrics of Jim Steinman:))

  • She's so good in this song. For some reason she looks like my aunt. Lol. But she's good. I want this CD did they ever make one?

  • MichaelCrawfordsFAn:

    Yes they did make this CD with the songs from the Concert...(A.L.Weber's Birthday Celebration) with the different artists on it. You'll hafta Google it tho. (o;

  • What year is this performance

  • I think it was done back in 1998 but you might want to do a google search about when this was recorded

  • @tutone it was for his 50th b-day, and he was born in 1948, so yeah, it was done in 1998.

  • jtcon1018:

About 6 years ago. Bonnie performed this at Andrew Lloyd Webber's Birthday Celebration Concert. I think it was his 50th.

  • Bonie Tyler my blue angel.

  • I have this video and I am so glad I do - such an amazing show, which I'd been there!!!

    Great voice, fabulous song.

  • I used to have this on both DVD and VHS but lost both copies in a house fire and haven't gooten around to replacing them

  • where can i get this video from cannot get enough of this track .many thanks

  • I have no idea, I'm afraid - Amazon is probably your best bet. Can't remember off the top of my head exactly what it's called - something like Andrew Lloyd Webber's 50th Birthday concert

  • Its from Andrew Lloyd Webber 'The Royal Albert Hall Celebration'. It shows most of his music including Evita, Jesus Christ Super Star, Cats, The phantom of The Opera and many oters including this from Whislel Down the Wind. I saw it in London with my wife & Thouhgt it was brilliant!

  • I SAW IT as the video was made

  • hmv woolworths or any shop and the video you need with that exact scene is andrew llyodd webber 5oth birthday anaversary i know cause i keep watching this song on the video

  • yea bonnie tyler and meatloaf r my favourite male and female singers. Great song

  • waching this video every day and i like it so much!!!! YES!!!!!

  • i want a man and i want him now, we were born going faster than the limits allowed! woohoo! go Bonnie Tyler! this song just plain ROCKS!

  • well said Armandos44. How bout Ann Wilson of Heart? :-)

  • She most definately is a vocalist that the younger generation should be taking lessons from.

  • I have the tape and this is by far the best act number and performance of the night.Superb and electryfing.Love to hear that kinda of powerful performers like Bonnie,Taylor Dayne,Stevie Nicks and of course Tina. The problem is there's no such powerful and chilling performers. The new generation hears all those worthless and voiceless kids who run to tv shows.Kids, watch and learn from the best!

  • "Those good girls never know what they're missing but us bad girls almost always do,"

    That is so true :D

Great song, great dancing and a great performance. What more can you ask for?

  • this video is so cool! I love the dancing and th music!

  • I love this! :D

  • Suberpe rockeuse notre Bonnie

  • <33 Bonnie Tyyyyyler :D:D:D

  • Love the outfit. If You love this song, check out Total Eclipse of the Heart.

    Bonnie Tyler is metal.

  • it give balls to the original!

  • of STEEL.

  • ℓ0ve b0nnie . {33

  • the back up singers in the second verse drown bonnie out. she would have sounded phenominal there if you could have heard her

  • She is old now.

  • not really when your 56 you wont be singing as good as she is right now

  • what a silly comment!!!

  • beautiful...smoky voices are soooo nice perfect for rock

  • this song iS awesome..=)

bonnie iS simply the beSt..Love her .<3

  • Hang on a minute!!! Meatloaf uses that line 'Tyre tracks and broken hearts, that's all we're leaving behind etc' on his song 'A kiss is a terrible thing to waste' on The Best Of Meatloaf!!! Aaaaaaaaannnnd the lass he sings it with sounds so much like Bonnie, but people keep telling me that they never sung together (which is a bludy shame). Anyway! Love Bonnie soooo much. Wish I could sing like her!! But never heard this one before!! Thanks! NICE BIKE!!!

  • Oh yes it is Bonnie singing together with MeatLoaf on the song "A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste". I got that song at home, and there is written: "Guest vocals by Bonnie Tyler". They're sounding really fantastic together, hope they're doing a duet together, some time. I'm a huge fan of both, Bonnie and Meat, two great artists with incredible voices!!!

  • Hey i love that bit at the end! Lol. Oh yeah they'd sound sooooooooooooooooooo wicked together. They wouldn't be able to drown each other out for starters ^_^

  • Both songs are from "Whistle Down the Wind" hence the overlap.

  • Love tHis sonq ..:-*

    Love bonnie..<3

  • Bonnie Tyler put so much emotion into this song!!!!

  • i love this i respect bonnie so much and i will aways look up to her she is such a down to earth woman and gracous not to mention wich is why she is the perfect role model for a 13 year old girl she looks beautiful she looks about 35 she is beautiful and no one can change that bonnie is the best she has no equal and her voice is so powerful that when she just talks the sheer power of it radiats throughout the room

  • I'm surprised that a young lady of your age is into listening to Bonnie Tyler she started singing when your parents where in their teens,,And your right Bonnie is a great role model for girls between 12 and 17 but a lot of girls in that age bracket haven't heard of Bonnie Tyler...

  • i cant say enough good awesome things about her i've been an avide fan for about a year and a half now and none of my friends have ever heard of her and make fun of me jst becuase they cant appericate her wonderful powerful voice. but i dont care to me bonni eis the best thing on the planet, i would do anything to meet her and really she is the best in the world and to me she has no equal and no one can change that

  • I couldn't agree with you any more none of today's female singer's don't even compare to Bonnie or have the voice she has and I bet none of your friends have actually sat down and listened to one of her cd's to appreciate her music and voice

  • to true i try to but they just wont saying ohh well i dont like 80s music well then why dont you listen to Wings or something but no they just make fun of me but ohh well they cant change how highly i think of her nd that is all that matters to me

  • i love this song i cant stop listening to it

  • I love this song. If anyone has any clue, on how to download this song on MP3. Please send it to me :D. This is my favorite verison. Its fun.

  • Bonnie's voice has no comparison. It is so amazing. Bonnie is my favorite singer...what a voice. :) I just love her. I finally got some concert tickets..I wish she was more famous here in the U.S. She's coming to Las Vegas, that's the concert I'm going to.

  • I heard that Bonnie was coming to the United States and doing 2 shows I was so excited but I found out it would be alot of money to fly to Vegas plus tickets and hotel for the night...but when I found out that Bonnie is coming to the Niagra Falls View Casino in Canada in September I started making plans now I don't have to fly I can drive down there it's about an 8 to 9 hr drive down from where I live in Michigan

  • your lucky to see her. for my part i saw her 5 time in France the 3 last years. she s fantastic. i hope you have her dvd from the paris ' concert birthday. yann

  • Anyone know what this was?

  • this video is from Andrew lloyd Webber's Royal Albert Hall celebration which can be found on DVD and VHS

  • This is awesome!

  • Andrew Lloyd Webber's music is so damn great ^-^

  • I loveeeeeeeeeee this video!! <3

  • i love this song, Bonnie, you have a wonderful, fantastic voice. you are the best!

  • God, I wish there was a way to find this song sung by her. do you think that there'd be one on iTunes?

  • Writen by Jim Steinman who is most well known for his work with Meat Loaf.

  • What a voice and what a song!!! Saying they're both awsome is unfair for there's no comparison with whatever one may think of.

  • i no the full dance move to this lol how sad am i

go Bonnie u work tht song

  • This really matches her voice. No one could sing it this good. I love you Bonnie.

  • what a song, I get goosebumps whe Bonnie sings this, it's a powerful song & I am gald that she sings this instead of some other singer.

  • this song really matches her voice. i don't think she has ever made a bad song.

  • I LOVE Bonnie but this song sounds a little too much like "Holding Out For A Hero" which I never cared for especially because of the dated 80s sounding synth drums.

  • Bonnie Tyler does the song much better than the original duet. I love this song. Heck, I sing it all the time.

  • love it

  • LOVE THIS SONG!

  • Bonnie Tyler is a goddess, her raspy voice is so hot damn sexy, not many women can carry it off, but she does God bless her.

  • bonnie tyler is timeless no matter how old she gets her raspy voice still manages to carry a tune....

  • This song owns!

  • good song. but it sounds a lot better as a duet I think

  • I love the way she does this song. It's much better when she adds that edginess.

  • Amazing song, amazing singer! She rocks!

  • My fave song

  • I love this song!

    Go Bonnie!!

  • This song is good to do cardio to!
