  • smart executives buy this kind of car. luxurious but affordable.

  • korea's equus price is 80k~120k

  • I'd prefer a e350 for 50k.....

  • Peter Shryer should of designed it.

  • @TheBjjones

Sure. To some people, the Equus may not seem as good compared to other brands such as Mercedes. But this is Hyundai. You have to consider how far they have come in both their design and technology which have been put together in this vehicle. Hyundai will produce a car that is equal to or maybe even better than some famous European brands. They are a rapidly growing company

  • I don't care if you get the luxury of an S-Class with the price of an E-Class. It's still a God damn Hyundai! I would even take a Mercedes C180 over this thing.

  • @TrueAviationPassion truehyundaihater

  • @CaMb0s0Up

    That's the lamest comment ever.

  • @TrueAviationPassion considering it's a mockery of your name....

  • @CaMb0s0Up

Yup, and that's exactly why it's lame.

  • beauty mercedes benz

  • I think he forgot to mention the price. It is only 58K :).

  • hyundai should make a new side company thats about lux, like this

  • Forget to mention that it comes with an ipad!!!!

  • gotta give it to hyundai first time in the segment and they do that good cant wait to see how well they the next gen of this

  • All you haters are all probably raised as rich ass spoiled people that can't appreciate what Hyundai has to offer

  • 58k..less than an M3

  • Front end looks like an S Class

Rear end looks like a 7 Series

  • the headlights look almost like the maybachs

  • $58,000 for a pile of junk. what a deal.

  • @uoyuoy444 I'll bet if the "H" stood for Honda then you wouldn't think that...

  • @uoyuoy444 would you know? have you drove it?

  • this car reminds me of that old, cheap, Chinese HI FI systems!! This car is absolutely rubbish, I mean, just look at those seats!!

  • Better than lexus..

  • it's a nice car but you can probably get 1 or 2 year used down the road for half price.

    resale hurts hyundai own...

  • it's 1989 all over again ( year when Toyota unleashed Lexus to the world changing the Luxo game) I applaude Hyundai

  • @Leo240sx

Sorry, but the Hyundai Equus isn't even close to the first generation Lexus LS400. When the LS400 launched in 1989 it was equal to or better than the competition with many unique features and options that were not available from any of the German marques. The Equus, while certainly a nice luxury automobile is in no way a formidable match for any of the high-end sedans in it's particular segment class (MB S class, BMW 7 series, Lexus LS, Audi A8).

  • @Leo240sx

Lexus LS in 1989. The technology in the world of the highest level was accompanied by it.

Though regrettable, there is no technical innovation in Equus in 2011, and only budget prices are good points.

A revolution will not occur only by it.

    There is American sales data.

Equus in 2011 sold 2568 sets in January - October.

LS in 1989 sold 11600 sets in August to four months.

  • If you do the ultimate they have automatic trunks too. full loaded ultimate is 65grand? Look at their site hyundaiusa

  • Hey reviiew on air, I do not want to see your face keeping saying on car's price, show me around the car! Camera man, are you feeling you like his body? change the spot and focus ono the car!

  • this Equus is way way~ better than Lexus LS 600HL Fucking Lexus LS600HL no more hahahaha who's gona buy Lexus now recall recall recall RECALL recall fucked up japan

  • Just FYI bought a used LS460L 30.000 on the odo loaded for 45K.

  • @rapidotorpedo I would have bought the LS all day long, too! That is a superb automobile...

  • meh..large luxury sedans still have to have the performance of their smaller counter parts. And I wouldn't want a car that reminds me of the better car that I didn't buy.

  • what about the resale value ?

  • whats that price again? i think i missed it =P

  • Comment removed

  • a6 is better

  • @SuperBlabla67 i agree don't buy a hyundai!

  • in canada that car is 70,000. sorry I'm not thinking hyundia

  • You get the Ultimate at that price with the added motorized trunk lid, front camera, rear seating dvd entertainment screen and rear cooler in arm rest... As nice of a car that it, it's not $58,000... More like $52,000

  • i have own my equus since march.. and i am overly impress .. way more options and perks than the 2011 audi my wife brought.... and the trunk is motorized.....fuck is he talking about...and his heavy ass would ruin any seat... and i paid 74 k for my ultimate....

  • @speedfreak505

74k for a Hyundai? You're out of your mind

  • @sarzamineiran if you say ... no dealer is letting them go for the sticker ... and mines it the ultimate with everything in it .. much more than you will find in a 90k s class.. trust me.. drive one first .. sticker was 65,900. and with destination and ext warrantee and full valet svc for the life of the ownership .. all included.. i dont even have to pay for tires .. nothing on that car .. out the door with taxes and fees about 75k.....

  • i have own my equus since march.. and i am overly impress .. way more options and perks than the 2011 audi my wife brought.... and the trunk is motorized.....fuck is he talking about...and his heavy ass would ruin any seat...

  • graet job on the review

it's all about the money i guess

i think i gona love this car

  • I want to see that interior seats after 100.000 miles, in fact all that interior. :)

Then u will see why u pay that much for real premium cars, and if u afford an A6 or E class please go for those. U will sell them in good value after that distance.

This thing will look like crap. Ad if u want to buy this by any meanings then i sugest to wait the next model.

    Peace

  • e run si bal jolla dap dap ha ne

  • So how much is the car again? I didn't catch that part.

  • @Hahaitssayed i dont think he mentioned the cost, if so i must have missed it... lol

  • You can get a fully loaded GS for that price. I doubt the Equus is any bigger than a GS

  • @punkposer u doubt?...u'd b wrong...its alot bigger...back seat is that of the 7 series and ls stretch..do ur research

  • I've owned my Equus Ultimate for 4 mo. now and I have heaps of praise. No,I didn't buy blind. We test drove all the German high-end cars, even overnight.Good cars but much more money thanks to greedy importers and dealers. They aren't nearly that costly in their homeland,so what's the deal.Actually,NO DEAL! Japanese cars are boring, trying to be every car for everybody.Luxomobiles aren't new to Hyundai, the previous Centennial was a hit in Korea AND ARABIA!When Caddy makes a better car I'll trade.

  • The Equus is Loaded with Features.

  • Sanyur, so what are you in ? Japanes cheap one ? Korean and japanese is same shit

  • @JuanYang7 well then you've seen some high quality shit...

  • This is like buying shoes, top line shoes like Nike, Reebok & germanys Adidas. Hyundai to me is like that cheap shoe that looks like Nike or Reebok but wear out 5 times faster & don't feel like a Nike or reebok. IT CALLED PAYLESS SHOES, that's Hyundai.

  • Loved this guy's review! Who is he?

  • @sccracing it's Ron Doron of TheDriversSeat.tv. says in the description.

  • my Mercedez e350 sport sedan is ALOT BETTER

  • @momofat140498

    You Wish!

  • 3 people are Asian,

...and why the **** is he sweating his balls off when he starts driving?

  • genesis 3.8....rocks but with new price tag 40kfully loaded? got to be committed, but it's much better than its competition in same catagory.. pontiac, 300c, avalon won't be a close match at all. Equus,,spending 60k but you do see alot of copy in it. as far as design. I don't know why Hyundai did that, Genesis interior design is better than Equus...

  • I don't care what the Equus is'nt, and what it copies, that doesn't take anything away from it. It's an Equus and I love it.

  • yea just get a used S class i would NEVER EVER spend that kind of money on a hyundai EVER

  • go test the ultimate and see the diffrence you are testing the signature and you are saying that its cheao test the ultimate and then talk idiot

  • @MrLocalman123 I've driven the Equus Ultimate. I've also sat in the back of the Equus Signature (where the differences are). I'm not sure the Ultimate is worth the extra $6,500 for a cool box, a reclining "first class" seat, and the inability to carry a fifth person in a pinch.

  • Those 'driving impressions' were very informative. Thank goodness you took the time to describe to your viewers the way this car feels to drive and then compare it with driving impressions of competing vehicles.

  • xj all day

  • no matter what, its still a hyundai

  • I'd spend more for the Audi A8. Its better looking better made.

  • @TopGear759 better made...? made in china, but you probably love serving yo money to the chinese anyways.

  • What do you mean by your statement that the Audi is "better made?" I haven't seen the latest three-year JD Power errors-per-100-vehicles longitudinal study (which is lame but still the best we've got to determine reliability). Is Audi better than Hyundai in reducing errors per 100 vehicles? I suspect it's a close race.

  • perfect of first time luxury car buyers.

taste of >$80k for the price of 58k. good job hyundai.

  • If an executive was looking for a personal lemo, $58,000 is a true bargain for this type of luxury. But s/he probably has the money for the real European cars, so why choose this? This car is a statement from Hyundai rather than for profit. Genesis generally had great reviews including North America Car of the Year award. But did it sell well? Some say not really. But still, Hyundai proved with Genesis that they can build quality cars and this is another direction in that road.

  • Would be a good car if it's styling didn't borrow so much from the aging LS 460.

  • 58,000 for that hell no.

  • @TopGear759 Your stupid, for a lack of better word.

  • Good to see Hyundai building high quality rides today.

  • I'm sure this is a grear car for someone stepping up a segment or two. I just don't think any German car buyers would consider cross shopping an Asian brand, specially me.

  • The Hyundai Dealerships are getting snobby and uppity....some of them are getting worst than Toyota and Honda Dealerships...You want to take all of them in the back of the dealership and punch in the gut one good time. In Korea, they give away refrigerators and give door to door pickup service and serve coffee and cake with other refreshments...they also give tickets to theater and give ipods and iphones...and sell their cars cheap, its called extra service. Something America forgot all about.

  • Europeans will always dominate the luxury segment.

  • @mitsubishigalant Uh, not really....Its all in your head. Take away Mercedes and BMW and you don't have a European Luxury segment relevant enough to compete with Japan. And last I checked, Germany is not the entire Europe. Jaguar, Aston Martin, Saab, Volvo, Range Rover...don't sell enough to be relevant or dominate the market. So lets stop riding the coat tail of Germany and demand better from the snobs. Thank you.

  • Id rather get a Infiniti M56. Nice job by hyundai though

  • @remelsheikh Yeah the Infiniti M56 looks much better.

  • @remelsheikh Infiniti M56 is an excellent choice. But hardly luxury. Luxury to me is a cloud ride and dead silence at 80 mph with rear reclining seats and piano craftsmanship. Infiniti makes great cars but I like to think of them as more like beefed up family sedan with power and performance. Its legendary reliability over its European competition to make it a more sensible choice. But if you are RICH...screw sensibility. right?

  • @GlockNinja Your definitely right about that. Infiniti is more sport than luxury. More for the younger generation drivers. Lexus and this car is more for the elderly.

  • @remelsheikh I don't know why people have to say cars that are soft and quiet are for elderly. LOL...I'm not elderly and I always wanted a Cadillac ride and quietness. The quietest and best riding car I ever rode in was a Oldsmobile Delta 88. You close your eyes at 60mph, you could swear you were standing still with the engine off. Now that is LUXURY.

  • To be honest, I don't really think this car is worth more than $45k max. Its really not on the same level as its german counterparts and I feel as if you would get a better or equivalent value with other cars for less.

  • @maddog392 you are WRONG lol he dosent make a 20 mm video about this car but when you take your time to look into it .. theres ALOT of features from 80k luxury cars all in this one for 30k less .. and i mean almost all them features.. i wonder why dint he show the power sun shades and how they are controled but i think its a video time issue since the car has about 100000000k toys and features all arround the car

  • @manuel21863 I'm not wrong about anything, when purchasing anything its all a matter of perspective and what you value most. Personally, I would never shell out that kind of money for this car, it's not worth it to me. I don't see how you can dispute that. Because after all, your not me.

  • @maddog392 uh, I agree with you, Hyundai has a long ways to go before they make high quality automobile to compete with JAPAN and SOME European countries...but with the options this car has at that price...Its going to be very hard for you to find a Mercedes with the same options for that price at that size of a car. Let me know if you find a Mercedes brand new with that many options at that size of a car for $54K. I might take out a second mortgage and buy it. :-)

  • Not really sure why you think $58K is cheap or even close to a bargain price. We Americans are out of control in our willingness to pay whatever these companies want. Hyundai makes pretty good cars now...probably equal to American made cars now. But they still have a long ways to go to match Honda and Toyota reliability and fit and finish quality. Test drive the cheapest cars each company makes and you can tell which company makes the better cars. Don't get fooled by bling.

  • @GlockNinja The Hyundai Elantra is better than the Honda Civic and MILES ahead of the Toyota Corolla. Problem?

  • @mateo096 uh, I agree the Hyundai Elantra is their better car. But to say it is better than the most PERFECTLY ENGINEERED AUTOMOBILE IN THE WORLD the Honda Civic..yeah...I'm not the one with the problem...you are. :-) I have a 1998 Honda Civic with 180K miles on it. I only give it oil changes every 4 to 6 months since 1998. Enough said. but here is more: Every part on the car is original except the alternator which was replaced wrongly because mechanic didn't know it was just a battery problem.

  • @GlockNinja Another thing....the brakes are still original on the car. The radiator fluid has never been flushed or filled...I never ever changed the transmission fluid, and it washes itself whenever it rains. And I can run the car 100 mph with ease. If any Hyundai can make that claim..I'll go trade in my Maxima, Honda Civic, and Pathfinder, and buy a Hyundai Sonata right now.

  • @GlockNinja Compare the 2012 Honda Civic to the 2011 Hyundai Elantra (or heck, wait for the 2012 Elantra, I don't care), point being, the CURRENT Hyundai Elantra is better than the CURRENT Honda Civic. In 1998 and probably up to 2010, the Civic was the better car. But not anymore.

  • @mateo096 Hmmm, Since both cars are too new to know for sure which one is built better and is more reliable...we have to go by track record. And Hyundai can't touch Honda. Sorry.

  • @GlockNinja Alright. We'll have this discussion in 10 years. Don't forget. :P

  • @mateo096 I'll be here. God willing.

  • @GlockNinja Why waste so much of your time talking trash when the only cars you can afford are $2500 yellow tanned what used to be white banged up 1991 Honda civic...?

  • damnnnn thats expesive

  • Where is Lambo SV review?

  • so how much is this car

  • @jsschipp4 about 60K out the door.

  • where's the lamborghini murcielago sv review...

  • rather get a6 lol

  • This video is currently being processed WTF

  • Ah man, Ron. You forgot to show us the reclining rear seats and the rear display screens. Otherwise, good review.

  • I really want to try one of these

  • Well pretty much any full size luxury sedan will out-sell the Acura RL. I don't think I've ever seen the current gen RL in person. Most people have never even heard of it.

I really like this car. I wish the grille were different, It looks too similar to Mercedes and Lexus. I'd like to see a bold, distinctive design in the front like the way that Audi front-ends are instantly recognizable.
