    It's as simple as... The height of the chimney requires a navigation light & they didn't want to pay a power bill. Also the land lease said they had to return the land to "original" condition. (minus the copper)

  • @wcolby solar powered LED's are the solution. Problem solved.

  • @R3MUS2007 I was going to say the same thing ! I wonder how much it cost to get the contractors in to blow up the stack and clear the rubble ? Would have been a dam sight more than solar panels - leds - battery back up for night-time use.
