  • Happy to see the dutch stonewall set up in your games. Nice one KC. What do you think of 10. Ng4 instead of Ne4?? Can white justify playing 11. Qd4 to save the center pawn? After 11.c5 and 12. Qc3 whites queen is placed badly. I would like this position as black.

  • nice video

  • it's nice to know that a much, much, much stronger player than me misses simple combinations too!

  • omg take the god dam queen already and then pick up the bishop with check!!!

  • i thought 29... Qh4 instead of recapturing the bishop with the pawn looked exciting.... i think there's a mate in there somewhere unless he gives up the his queen... a very exciting game! :)

  • @MontgomeryBarncaly Bh3, Qxh3, Rg2 seems to hold for white

  • How about a 10min game?...

  • interesting game...

  • all very good videos, very impressed with the games in this session

  • entertaining videos as usual Mr Gavriel! I can't wait until you become an FM!

  • I'm a little confused (I'm very beginner so I might be wrong) but isn't 33...Qf1 checkmate? If not can someone please explain why not?

    Thanks.

  • @Cranfillr rook g1

  • @Cranfillr just Rg1

  • @Cranfillr No... but Rook D1 is. I think. Because Qf1 can be blocked by his rook on g2. But he can't block the check with his rook with rook G1 because it exposes his king to check by Kingkrushers queen.

Guess that's what you miss when you play blitz. I hate blitz.

  • @xxxIronLeexxx Oh duh... *facepalms*. Thanks IronLee and everyone else who replied. :S

  • Its not really a scalp if you won on time jn a loaing position

  • very well played kc

  • Surely one of your best ever days vs titled players

  • not at move 34 - he can take with the pawn - at 35 - after the blunder h4

  • At move 29, after Bxg4, you just recaptured automatically on g4, but the intermediate ..Qh4 threatening h2 and improving the position of your queen, might be strong. In fact it looks like you have ...Ng4 at move 26 or 27 as well, making use of ..Qh4 if white takes.

  • on ICC auto-pairing, are your opponents completely random? no way of you knowing the person or someone rigging it somehow so they play you? just random people from around the world based on your rating and win record etc right? there's these psycho people who stalk me on chess sites and I just want to be sure I'm playing random people and not them.

  • In the end you missed Queen exchange followed by Rook x bishop. You will be a bishop up.

  • At 8:50 why didn't you just play Qxg3 followed by Rxe1?

  • you missed 34. .. Qxg3 followed by 35. Rxe1 +

  • @TheMrToastify Yep

  • why the icc over chesscube or fics

  • @mcclurify The players on ICC are serious about chess.

  • @GreenCastleBlock agreed...
