@TheBdavis231 Hey man, when people say "where is Lebron on the all-time scale?" I say he is maybe at Drexler's level. If he wins it this year, he'll surpass him maybe due to MVPs Clyde never won.
@CLewey44 LOLNO Lebron IS NO WHERE NEAR CLYDE. Let's see lebron win an MVP with all the great players in the 90's playing at the same time as him. Especially with jordan.
@Jarek4 OK, listen, I don't like Lebron and he chokes in the clutch and all that. I've hated on him a lot but the bottom line is he is good. Very good. Reread what I said. I said MAYBE at Drexlers level. Also, I wrote that before the Finals ended and said IF he wins the title, he'll be in that sort of tier player. Drexler, Gervin, etc. Those 2nd or 3rd tier players. Drexler nor Lebron were/are 1st tier for sure and probably not 2nd tier, but at best 2nd tier.
@CLewey44 Clyde's not first tier? Are you joking? In the 90's it was ALWAYS clyde vs jordan for best player in the nba. That was the argument. You can not be on the dream team without being first tier. Clyde carried his team but also had MUCH better team work than lebron. The 90's blazers team as a whole was an amazing team. How ever they had much stiffer competition than lebron does now a days. Being bested by 90's bulls and 90's pistons in the finals. Saying lebron is near clyde is an insult.
@Jarek4 When I say first tier I mean all-time. Examples would be Jordan, Magic, Bird, Chamberlain, Russell, Kobe, Shaq(maybe)...There are credentials for that title and that is having to be the best player in the NBA at some point as well as an MVP or 2 at least. Lebron is, arguably, the best player in the NBA right now and for the last 2 or 3 seasons. Don't get me wrong man, I love Drexler, but he never was the best player in the NBA or a regular season MVP. Lebron has won MVPs too.
@CLewey44 Lebron is most certainly not the best player in the league right now and never has been. If you want to make that argument you have to ignore other players such as brandon roy, rajon rando, derrick rose, kevin durrant, etc etc. The amount of how much you are over rating lebron and completely under rating clyde drexler is insulting to the nba.
@Jarek4 There is nothing wrong with saying Lebron is, at best, at the all time level that Drexler is/was. Key words, at best. In time, he will surpass Clyde probably. Also, the Dream Team had Chris Mullin, Laettner, Ewing none of which were tier one players on the all-time list. The only tier one guys were Bird, Jordan, Magic, and maybe, just maybe, Malone. All the others were not all-time tier one players. Certainly not Ewing, Mullin, and Laettner. And let me reiterate, I love Drexler bro.
@Jarek4 Don't discount what I'm saying with your LOL. Most would put Lebron above Clyde nowadays. Clyde was great but he didn't deliver until he had been in the L for over 10 years. Like Lebron, he carried his team to the cusp of the promise land but didn't get the big one until Olajuwon was with him. Lebron is putting up gawdy numbers and no one can deny that. Bottom line tho, Glide was spectacular but Lebron will probably go down in history as a better player granted he has no injuries.
He was better than Lebron
