you can still buy the game The Movies and the expansion pack from ebay. i bought them both new a few weeks ago. wish they offered more control and making your own characters to look the way you want like you can in sims 2 and build houses etc the way you want. to me this is pretty much canned in that you can only do so much and that is it. so once you used it for awhile it becomes the same old same old. if they still offered more expansions it would make it awesome.
@kassel188 when you log on, and you export your movies online, you get a certain number of credits, based on ow good your movie was, you could get 100 credits for a bad movie, 300 credits for a 2 star movies, and 500 credits for a really good movie. you can then use onlone credits to buy costumes, sets, backdrops, workers, and awards.

I used to play this game some time ago and i remember there was a cheat or something for getting a lots of job applicants at every building.now i can't find this cheat and i'm having problems because even my studio is 1st or 2nd i still get 1 or 2 unemployed people and i need more.
@91patty795 Well you pick up a star from the line and you put it in the new field in the middle of the Stage School, called Import Star, you'll chose the star then and that's it.
@hemlei after you made the movie, go to POST PRODUCTION, and edit it, (if you want to) first, you have to save it. Look for a save button. then you have to EXPORT it. that saves it to yor hard drive. then you can upload it from your computer.

well you need to take one of your builders and you will see 2 buttons one with a bomb that deletes it and one wich moves them to another spot PS i only have the demo but i still now that :D

It did, but shouldn't your crew gain experience no matter what mode you are in, because in my sandbox studio I'm getting very tired of all my movies getting bad crew experience reviews.
Someone please give me an answer, my crew won't get experienced at all no matter how many films they do, and every movie I make, the game won't let it go over 2 stars...and it isn't having the awards ceremony come on either....any answers, please reply to me please! (I'm in sandbox mode.)
When you're in sandbox mode it's basically like half cheat mode. You get to choose how much money you start with, when but you don't get awards ceromonies. Go on the main game (like a campaign) and then you'll get all of the stuff opened. On the main game you get the ceremonies. Hope this helped!
@homrfan4life LMFAO Thats because your in SANDBOX to have the awards ceromony you need to use NEW GAME then your sars, director, crew can gain experience.
I've heard of a set called "Haunted Corridor" and I wonder if it's real or not... Does anybody know where I can find a video of this (Preferably on Youtube)?
I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to be, but my S+E expansion pack seems to have missing sets - for example, there is no "starship bridge 3", but there is a "starship bridge 4". Also, I've seen other sets used in other peoples films. Is there another expansion pack or something?
Are you playing in sandbox mode or gameplay mode? If you're in gameplay or sandbox, you have to assign the scientists in the laboratory to work on the packs. Each pack will give you something new, for example, the missing sets you can't locate. Unless you're in sandbox mode in 2000, then I'm pretty sure everything should be unlocked by then. If not, it could just be a glitch.
Sandbox-I've continued from when I had just the original game. But when I looked at a tutorial to see if I could find out why particular sets are missing, I discovered that, in the words of the tutorial text, "new backdrops are available in S+E, including moving ones, for green screen and starship bridges 2, 3(which I don't have) and 4(which I do). Also, the sideways building set is missing and so are some backdrops. Can you please give me a list of the available sets for the S+E Pack? Thanks :D
Ohhh, that clears everything up. When I continued my game, I got those notices that I unlocked the 3 sets, but I couldn't locate them. This was in gameplay mode, though.. But I'm pretty sure you'll have to start a new game from scratch. Test out the gameplay mode before starting a new sandbox, then after you get the notices, check to see if all the sets that are suppose to be there are, infact, there. If that doesn't end up working, just reply again. :)

@SCARAFCE16 First, go to MY DOCUMENTS then go to THE MOVIES then go to THE MOVIES MUSIC place your music inside of THE MOVIES MUSIC Folder. then restart the movies. you should have your music on the post production.
This game is really, really awesome as long as you can find the hacks to get the stuff you want. I made a really cool movie years ago, but that was years ago when I used a PC. The Sims movies don't compare as those characters were never meant to show specific emotions. They look very unnatural comparatively. Hopefully this game continues.

FREE CAM is really kl in this game its like being a camara man and u can pretty much put the camara where ever u wan it if u dnt own this game u should really buy it

@SCARAFCE16 First, go to MY DOCUMENTS then go to THE MOVIES then go to THE MOVIES MUSIC place your music inside of THE MOVIES MUSIC Folder. then restart the movies. you should have your music on the post production.

This game is really, really awesome as long as you can find the hacks to get the stuff you want. I made a really cool movie years ago, but that was years ago when I used a PC. The Sims movies don't compare as those characters were never meant to show specific emotions. They look very unnatural comparatively. Hopefully this game continues.
