Landing at Ontario Airport 8-8-08

Actually, it doesn't look that bad for August. At least you can see the mountains. But it sure looks like Ontario from the air allright. I am preparing to fly to Atlanta this August for a six-day vacation trip. Nice landing video!

If you want to see the old ontario terminal the way it used to be, Watch the Tom Hanks movie "Catch me if you can" That brings a tear to my eye whenever i watch that. We may be a powerful country in arms, but P/C we are fools! How did we ever let terrorists control us like they have. Amercian airports used to be the greatest place to go when you were a kid. Pure joy. What a shame.

Look at all those houses and buildings!!..I was born in pomona in 64 and there was nothing in that area back in the day. I remember when the national guard was stationed ontario. You would see F106 delta darts all the time. I would take the RTD bus there and just spend all day there. No security problems, i could go where i wanted, it was great!! what a shame what has happened to U.S. Air travel.

yeah, the air is terrible. It looks nice and fresh all around you....but from a distance, makes me regret the day I left the good old Midwest.

This was an SFO-ONT flight so it was probably a smaller plane. I don't recall the equipment that day (or pretty much ever, now that I think about it)

im planing to travel from philly  to L.A, Newport Beach exactly. what is the best airport to take

For sure you'll want to use John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana (Airport Code: SNA). You'll have the most choices flying in to LAX from PHL but John Wayne Airport is much much closer to Newport.
