@THluver218 Have you organized any movements to save the unit? If you could gather enough community support I bet it would stay open. ^_^ You should consider it.
@SFAbusivePersonality well all things are set and we are definetly shut down X '( their making us go to the other high school but one of our friend has some sort of learing disablity so they rejected him. one other thing that was stupid was they hired our instructor at the other high school i dont fully understand that... shut this unit down of 38 years to only hire them at the other high school....
hey, im c/2nd Lt. Danny Nguyen and am trying to find a way to get more cadets to stay after and experience the drill teams but only 1 third of the corps is staying after and most of them are officers the rest dont want to stay after and are lazy do you have any suggestions?

This is something I can help with because I just ran into the same problem in my unit, try changing practice times, our drill teams practice b4 school to avoid conflicting with sports, performing at school assemblies will get their attention, make sure your team commanders are actively recruiting for the teams if the commanders dont talk to the cadet directly chances are they won't be interested
@enjoiboi123456789 You could also try setting up a new team member day, basically a day for people to come check out the teams, buy them pizza and soda and then show them the fun parts of the teams, when we did this the armed drill team taught them how to spin, which in normal cases is the last thing we teach, some of the teams even just went out and played dodge ball, just to get the cadets interested in hanging with the team. Thats the best I can think of, hope it helps
Hello fello NJROTC cadet, I'm the XO of the NJROTC unit in Utah. We are currently having trouble keeping cadets in the program and recruting more. We recently had our SNSI pass away and our NSI retire so we are starting new. Our new NSI and SNSI are fresh from the navy. Anyway, if you have any pointers on recruting and fundraising, it would be nice.
@kemper001 Sorry it took me so long to respond, I didn't even realize this vid had comments. Recruiting is an easy task if you know how to approach it. My suggestion is focus on the good aspects of your unitdo you do a lot of moral building or do you take a lot of trips those are the things that are going to get kids interested For fundraising there are a lot of things you can do, I suggest coming up with things that haven't been done b4 take a look at the officer torture vids on my page
I may be moving to colorado springs from Texas for my junior year. I would love to be in the NJROTC. We don't have 1 here I was mad. Hopfully i'll see you next year!

yeah we do, its actually pretty common here. Three of the local schools have NJRTOC, one has Air Force, and one has Army. Its the superindenents decision which branch he/she wants, so that may be why we ended up navy. idk though... btw im also SFAbusive Personality but i forgot my password =_='
