okay, makes sense...if its just you and the dealer. But lets say theres 5 of you at the table and you're dealt last. By the time your bet is up and you're dealt, the true count could have changed drastically! So I dont get how it helps unless maybe you're dealt first...

All of these videos tell you how to count cards using HiLo or a true count, however you are never told how to use this information. How to bet when the card count is negative, positive or neutral seems to be crucial information and yet it's missing in every one of these types of videos. As much as I hate to use a movie reference, in "21" it appeared that the higher the positive count, the better. Is that accurate?

yes that is true because the higher the count, the greater chance of the next card being a 10 J Q K of Ace, which all have the same value except the Ace which is 11 or 1. When the count is high in the negatives, such as -6, you know that the next card will likely be a 6 or lower but each card has a different value, making it harder for the player to take a risk. Also, when the count is high, such as +6, the dealer has a greater chance to bust which is an advantage for the player.

@BlackBNimble okay heres is ohow it works... i will use 21 as a reference as well. when they said the table was hot it was around 15 16 that was the count sense low numbers are +1 and according to statistics if you start with a low number u will most likely bust. so when the count is high it means almost all low numbers are gone and you will get blackjack or 2 face cards more likely. it its negetive it means its onl the dealers side and u should bet low. because there are lost of low cards stil.

He is a cheat..He counts all cards in 1 deck. So you can easily point out last remaining card by counting other ones. In casinos, even in single deck, they cut in the middle. So this is not a foolproof solution.

Even if he had 4 decks the count would in the end have come out as 0 right? So if you take one card out, lets say a +1 card, the count should be at -1 when you have counted through all 4 decks. You will still be able to predict the probability of the remaining card! :) As far as I'm concerned. :)

some casinos have single deck tables...? you should try it on those.

divide the count by 4. say you have +8, then your real count is 8/4= +2. So if your betting unit/minimum is 5 bucks, bet 10 bucks.

because the deck has a net value of 0. if it ends in a -, and the deck must equal 0, then it must be a + card to be able to cancel it out.

no it doesnt becuz the cards are chosen randomly and the decks never end. its almost like they are in and endless shuffle. its a good way to practice card counting and basic strategy tho

the cards i used in this video were bought at casinos. casinos tend to either punch holes them after they are done using them to resell. card counting is not a trick, it is simple math.

ok the counting is basically the system of how many low cards (2-6) are out of the deck, the higher the count means that there are less low cards in the deck and the deck is hot so to speak with big cards which leaves you more likely to get good hands.

what about when they casino has more that one deck of cards...which they usually do, and in black jack ur not just predicting one card...u have to predict one of many un-turned cards..

Everybody this is how it works. 2-6 is +1, 7-9 is 0 and 10-A is -1. So as the cards go by you add the value assigned to them. And if the value is positive then you have a better chance for 10-A if it is negative then you have a better chance for lower cards.

I think he means 'in total', in other words he's got two equations in his head at once, the first being what's on the table (the cards just laid out) and adding that total to the second equation, the true total.

The terminology stay's constant, 2 3 4 5 and 6's +1, 7 8 9's 0 and 10 J Q K A's -1.
