  • the "tying the knot" part was way too fast. I can't get it

  • What song was that?

  • OMG I just sewed on my first putton lol I feel so accomplished :P

  • It's definitely a quickie...I really like way the button was sewed on but it just went way too fast. I'm new to sewing so it was pretty much worthless to me.

  • rubbish. chinese guy on videojug all the way for me.

  • This video is a piece of crap.

  • terrible. turn the music down so i don't have to hear it over and over when i try to skip back to read the terrible subtitles to figure out what the hell i'm doing. ahh fuck it i'll find a beterrrr vid

  • I had a hard time following the video :(

  • The video goes too fast. Hard to follow. And the music doesn't help. Talking would help.

  • Whats with the stupid song over? If this is a tutorial, make it so with a narrative, not some useless tune and quik captions. The speed of the video and song is annoying.

  • Does anyone know of any good games involving sewing and fashion? I know there's the Fashion Fantasy Game and Fashion Craze, but are there any others? Specifically, I'm looking for something with a sewing center like on the Fashion Fantasy Game.

  • Awesome! Thanks :) I agree with the last part being hard though.

  • Great tutorial. Had to pause a couple of times. Last part was way too hard for me though... :-(

  • Way too quickly done. I'm gonna look at another video instead.

  • good fast a quick review! Thanks

  • too fast couldn't even pay attention and shitty music

  • Thanks guys you rock

  • thanks! worked perfectly

  • thanks a lot. It has worked for me!

  • the last step was hard

  • Nice video. I couldn't quite catch what you did at the end when you said, "and come up a 1/4 inch away pulling the thread through completely." So I'll have to look up how to end it.

  • worked like a charm.

  • thank u so much! i thought that was how but i wanted to make sure!!

  • yeah this video goes through the steps way to fast for a laymen to follow, you guys need to slow it down cause chances are the people who search stuff like this have absolutely no experience with sewing. i guess i'll have to pause at every step (pretty annoying)

  • I need it in slow motion

  • sewing through leather sucks

  • @OnlyOnWensdays everyones gotta learn somewhere

  • i cant belive how people cant do simple sewing. lol i actually searched for how to sew a wound but had to comment here..

  • great video! A few of the parts were a little fast, and the subtitles were too big and kind of in the way. I had to pause and rewind several times to make sure I wasn't missing the steps. All in all, it only took me about 10 min to figure it out and my boyfriend's shirt is as good as new!

  • sucks

  • thank you thank you thank you thank you very much thanks to you i saved my shorts.

  • sweet, i got my pants lookin good for work tomorrow ^^ thanks! great job!

  • Thank you so much. ;A; I was making a cuddly toy and I forgot how to sew on a button, I was about to give up.

  • i learned a lot. in the past i had over sewn, made messy passes on the front of the button, and really messed up the tying at the end. thanks for this

  • It was too fast and the subtitles got in the way!

  • I would sew a button for 5 bucks, cause this looks fucking hard

  • Video was a little hard to follow. First time sewer, never touched a needle and thread in my life. More captions, less fast forwarding, slower movements focusing on the technique. All those things would help a lot. Thanks!

  • Thanks so much!! I'm repairing my neighbor's Navy uniform and I was a little nervous but now I know I can do it :)

  • Too hard! i just buy another shirt :)

  • Thanks. It seems to have worked, looks good, and kept me from having to beg someone to help. I feel manly, yet domestically empowered.

  • Pillar? I never knew that! Amazing!

  • I didn't know most of that! Especially the pillar part! Amazing.

  • Good One ..I sew the button first time in my life!!

Kudos to you for uploading this..

  • kinda fast, but with pause... it's all good. Thx!

  • wow that's pretty kool xD

  • Well i made it with this video, but next time, it would be better to use bigger buttons and dont speed up the video. Maybe even wait between steps, to make it more intuitive

  • Your videos are kind of hard to follow. You tend to put your subtitles over things you need to see at critical points.

  • @Aezelll WRONG TECHNIQUE.TO SEW A BUTTOM PROPERLY YOU CANNOT MAKE A KNOT FIRST AND YOU DON'T LET THE THREAD SHOW ON THE OTHER SIDE. THIS IS HOW PEOPLE SEW WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE. LIKE GRANDMA USED TO SEW. NO LONGER!

  • @butanuku If you thought I wanted to get some ranting reply from you in all caps 2 months later you would be approximately 100% fucking retardedly wrong.

  • @Aezelll ROFLMAO! Go to school kid!

  • @butanuku Thanks for nothing

  • @g4cee YOU ARE VERY UNWELCOME! LOL

  • @Aezelll SHE WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO STOP BANGING ON THE THREAD! LOL

  • great video!!

  • ahhhh the beauty of the internet…. i can go to work now :D thanks

  • the guide got in the way of the last step at the very end, but nonetheless it's very helpful to see a visual instead of reading and following along. i feel stupid that i had to look it up online xD thanks guys ;)

  • @davescracker Stupid isn't looking it up. Stupid is thinking you know everything and going right ahead and then stuffing it up because you don't know what you're doing.

  • Hey guys thanks for the awesome video. My mom is way too lazy to do this for me lmao.

Also cool song in the background. Whats it called?

  • Hi di hi folks - can I ask permision to share this on my website? I want to build up a blog of all things crafty. I already use these videos with my pupils at school and they love them as I can keep playing them on loop and they dont have to keep asking me for help. Here is my website (under construction) sewarty. com Enjoy and keep up the fab work :D

  • Thank god for youtube and your video.

  • Thanks for the video, I got it done, just wish you slowed it down at some points, especially the knot at the end - can't really see what's going on there.

  • I used t know how to do all this and genrally did but tanks for the freaking awsome vid to refresh my memory!!

  • omg guys, you seriously can't sew button??

  • i got no patience and time too look for stupid bottons so screw it going to the tailor and get bunch of stuff fix lol..i don't have 2hrs to fix all my crap but when i do get time,i will practice sewing like the golden girl sofia..

  • Thanks a ton, I feel like Superwoman now!!!!Seriously lol.

  • Awesome I can finally sew a button! Special thanks to you guys (5 stars)*****

  • Thanks! Great refresher, that looks like a sweet party.

  • I did it, and I'm a complete moron... just ask my mom

  • thanks! i think i did it.

  • S#!*.. I know a 47 yo batchelor that just spent over 1 hour trying to 1 button each on 2 pairs of shorts.

It was only after I finished that I realised that I should have youtubed it first... and look what I found...

    I'll be back next time!

    Thanks for the video!

  • Um??

  • Yay! Now I can sew a button!

  • just put a button back on my blazer! great video thanks a bunch!

  • This would be a great instructional video if the text weren't so fast. I could not read and watch at the same time because of the speed. What a bummer.

  • simpler tie off -----> w w w .videojug.com/film/how-to-sew-on-a-button

  • Thanksss I love it Entertaining & teaching tyyyy @~#(!@

  • Just repaired a button on one of my shirts! Instructions worked great! Thanks!

  • Wonderful tutorial as long as I paused it now and again. Was afraid of how hard it'd be, but now I want to sew buttons on everything!

  • ...rename this video to "How to sew a button in super speed".....:P

  • I've been doing it very wrong all this time, but it works. Ha-ha!!

  • This is the perfect tutorial. Only 1 problem though. In the knot stage, the scene in the beginning of the chain stitch is covered by the captions, and it's very hard for beginners to figure out how what is going on. The knot should have been played in slow motion and without captions.

  • Pretty Good, but if there was some more text on the screen and the video sped up some more...it'd be great. Unfortuantely I actually saw something of what you were trying to show ! :P

  • I like how the one step appeared for like 3 frames.

  • When she does the loop at the end, I have no idea what's going on. It seems like the girl didn't realize this was an instructional video for beginners.

  • Sweet, The First one came out ugly, The second one looks Pro. Thanks

  • on the loop i can't see her hands because of the text...

  • Thanks, I usually take it to the cleaners and pay a bit of money for this. Worked excellent!

  • what song is playing?!

  • Haha I just sewed on my first button! THANKS.

  • i now kno how to sew a button! you have saved me many clothes

  • Thanks for the video! Sad but true that I had no idea how to sew on a button before this vid...

  • aint tracy fat !

  • hahhaha just did it, not as tidy mind u but its on.....no more flappy jacket :)

  • How is a missing button a dilemma exactly?

  • i thought i knew how to sew a button on, but i was seriously wrong! im so proud of myself b/c i just sewed on two buttons on my D&G shirt (yikes, I was worried I would mess it up) and it came out perfectly. thanks for the tutorial... not only did u save me a trip to the tailor, but now my shirt has special meaning!

  • wow ;)

  • still don't understand.

  • Some of the text covered up the hot action... and we have a pause button, but steps are skipped.

  • Best button tutorial ever. Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • Couldnt understand the knot from the footage :(

  • should of put precaution such as beginners, may suffer sever bleeding or loss of skin.....

  • Great. Except that the subtitles cover the half of the video....

  • the writing blocks it!

  • Excellent info for those of us who never took Home Ec. But that was way too fast. I had to keep rewinding.

  • Thanks! can't believe I'm 29 and just sewed my first button. Now feeling inspired to learn how to darn my socks. =)-

  • a bit slower would be nice...

  • despite the text going fast this video helped me sew my first button! thanks a lot and for those that don't know, you can pause the video :P

  • great tutorial I followed it and was able to sew on back a button on my cardigan

  • I don't understand the last part... :(

  • i cant believe 238,635 people have watched this.... and I say that as im on my thirdtime learning how to sew on a damn button...hahaha...thanks!

  • yay : D

  • thanks , it worked

  • Moved too fast. Quite possibly the WORST tutorial video I've ever seen.

  • @thesoni it wasnt that bad. it helped me and im a slow learner! :3

  • What if I need a button sewed back on but I don't have needle or thread!?! Is there another way!?

  • @Only8ToesMatter staples? o.o maybe they'll work till you get thread and needle o.o

  • Thank You!!!

  • I start by stitching front to back. That way the knot is hidden under the button.

  • THANKS! I just sewed my first button.

  • THANKS.... BUT SLOW DOWN!

  • Thx

  • Text blocks the hand movements too much, well done

  • Great video! The text was covering some of the hand movements, though, and the text moved pretty quickly. I had to pause a few times.

Very helpful, though! Thank you :)

  • Great!

  • Press pause WTBanH! Great video thank you very much!

  • anyone can do that :P

  • I learned a lot, but the last bit about tying the knot, I could not follow

  • Saved my life. I fixed a pair of trousers today and now I don't have to go out half naked. Seriously, if you could put up a tutorial to remind me that I occasionally have to stick clothes in the washing machine that'd be fantastic hahaha. Brilliantly done. You deserve the party.

  • thanks for the video, you just taught me how to fix a button lol!.

  • Good no-bs tutorial...for us guys. Thanks.

  • i agree, thanks for the tip BUT, the stripes on the shirt are a distraction, the text goes by to fast and the music is awful.

  • The text blocks the view half the time. Didn't anyone review this before it was uploaded???

  • too fast ! )):

  • this was so much help. thank you

  • lol y did i choose 2 watch this video after i sewed my buttons back on my pants.. gggr this could have really helped haha! ooh well.. my way worked as well!

  • slow down the last 40 seconds or so and explain more please

  • i never tried this techniqe

  • You guys are geniuses! Thanks.

  • I agree...the subtitles made it a little tricky to see what was actually being done. I thought the fact that it went quickly worked well up until it got to the tying the knot part. I could NOT keep up. I tried to pause, rewind, pause, play rewind, pause, etc. It was kind of frustrating. So that part could have been slowed down a little. But...that said, I successfully sewed on the button, so that's what matters, right? :) thanks guys!

  • Wow you guys are awesome. I got work in 20 minutes and I actually have pants I can wear now! Thanks so much! - and great with the music

  • Thanks.

  • the caption is right over the button/garment part of the time and with it being very fast and having to read and pause i got irritated with this...

  • well clearly you aren't supposed to do the whole damn thing as fast as her. she isnt magic, it's called tasteful editing

  • THANKS!!

  • thanks!

  • omg thx sooo much that was sooo helpful!!! now i can finally wear my new sweater!!!! :) :) :)

  • thers was a party on and i had notin to wear.. put i had thes good shorts, but i never wore them because the button fell off.. so i came on here and watched this vid and thank good it helped me! t5hank you guys for your help... it was pretty easy.. (dont need mt mum now) lol

  • em.. the subtitles kindda get in the way

  • thanks guys! very easy and fun. sewed my first button with success!

  • for those of you who think it's too fast, keep in mind, it's the internet...you can pause it where every you want. And you can mute the music. I personally was happy to be able to sew on buttons to my newly knit purse!

  • What is up with this music? ahhhhh!

  • thanks! just sewed on my very first button.

  • Thanks, worked first time!

  • The music selection is terrible.

The caption came up and disappear too fast.

The critical sewing action is doing too fast

    It's more like a skill show-off more than a How-to....

  • really awful music

  • Cool, thanks I'll try that. But it would be more easier to watch the moves, if it was black thread on a white background

  • oh........ THANK YOU!!

  • you saved me walking around in my boxers all day. although i dont have a problem with that :P

  • The video was well done, but the text went too fast. Slow it down, we're learning! :)

  • @WTBanH yes i agree! but thanks to this i did my first button well, i think.

  • @WTBanH It's called the pause button :/

  • thanks for the video.

somewhat helpful but i found the captions obstructed my view of what she was doing.

  • Thanks, it helped a lot, I was seriously thinking about just buying a new shirt instead. Till I found out how easy it was to do.

  • Thank you, now my winter coat is as good as new.

  • it looks so simple but i still might not get the tie a knot end.

  • What's the song that plays?

  • alittle confusing at first but i got the hang of it

    thank you

  • That was great. Well done video!

  • This is what youtube was made for, thank you :)

  • Cool video...thnks dude..this video safe my life....!!!!!

  • I tried to post a video response to this video but they won't allow it.

  • Win! If anyone needs help, you can ask me. I figured it out. ;)

  • yeah, i'm lost

  • too fast:(

  • Thanks guys! Helped me out a bunch! :)

    KUDOS!
