Maybe its just me but I think I'll stick with the modern type of dance we do here in the US of A. No offence to these obscure little countries in the middle of no where who just jump around and call it art, but lets be honest here...it boring and not really dance. Give me a club in LA of the Big Apple any day of the week-a-roo. Sorry but only one star from the patroitic yank!
They would probably look at that type of dancing from clubs and call it spastic. They didn't call it art...they were showing part of their culture. I'm glad that I had a chance to experience something like this one 1/2 mile from my house and while I don't mind paying to see other cultures, this one was free! These performers, the aborigines and all the other ones that week were very cool. Some people will never experience something this cool and I get festivals like this in my back yard!
ngek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!this is not a dance of philipines nor igorot people,,,its look that they came from mental...never,,,,,never,,,wat kind of dance is that???/
This is not a trival dance from the philippines. They dont look like the igorot or the Kalingas. they usually used a gong to dance not a taped recorded music.
Info: this dance isnt Filipino! its a dance of the Malayo-Polynesian aborigines of Taiwan, who are ethnically related to Filipinos, but simply aren't :)
Hahah her headband fell off.. But WOW, this is an awesome dance! I've never seen a whole native Filipino tribal dance before. Very unique and well-done!
這些因該是台灣台東縣的蘭嶼部落舞蹈.真高興已經發揚到那邊了!!

Don't know. I arrived after they started and as you can see it was one continuous take and there were no announcements. Sorry.
