I still do not understand the reason why the Pakistani film industry people treated this man with such contempt and disrespect. Very shameful. He was a born artist and he breatthed acting. once that stoped his life stopped. RIP.

Watching tributes to him makes me sad. His films were from my parent's childhood age and even though i am a part of this so called new generation I love the old movies and songs of Pakistan and even India. Waheed Murad is my favorite actor ever and I wish he was still alive. He should get the highest award from Pakistan. I really love him as an actor and personality.

Mr.Plum Skull;I know the GREAT WAHEED MURAD have trillions and trillions of fans worldwide BUT I BELEIVE I AM WAHEED'S BIGGEST FAN EVER.I have a Library of Waheed Murad's movies and I have over 100 of his movies.Infact I recently visited Pakistan---returned on 7th Apr and brought about 25 movies of this ONE AND ONLY SUPER STAR of pak film industry. Waheed was the first Rock n' Roll dancing star in South Asia. He was famously known as the 'Chocolate Hero' and 'Lady Killer'. His dressing style, the hair style, dialogues and songs used to be liked and followed by people. Waheed's hair cut was very popular among the young and was called the 'Waheed Murad cut'. In his hey days Waheed once went to Saddar area of Karachi in his white car. Realising it was Murads car, a group of 30 college girls covered the vehicle with lipstick kisses.

The video is a great effort to remember a most popular artist like Waheed Murad. I doubt if any actor would be able to be an artist like him. If we think shutting our eyes to find an actor to play role of a goodlooking good man, good brother and good lover, we would only see Waheed Murad, but he is no longer among us.

There has never been an actor in India or Pakistan who picturised songs better than Waheed. He came with his own style and never copied anybody. Mithun Chakeboerty copied him in "Tarana" (the whole movie was a carbon copy of Waheed's movie "Dilruba")and became a super star.

You might not believe me. Just get a copy of pakistani movie Dilruba and watch Tarana you will see what I am talking about. Even Jetendra's early styles were very similiar to Waheed.

We are all from Bangladesh(East Pakistan). We all remember him for all the old Urdu film. Film like Arman. I will never forget him.
