To be honest Mayweather came back just to fight Pacquiao, he saw a challenge in him. If you recall after he dominated Marquez Mayweathers team were the one's who drew up a contract and signed off on a fight with Pacquiao. To be honest Mayweather came back just to fight Pacquiao, he saw a challenge in him. If you recall after he dominated Marquez Mayweathers team were the one's who drew up a contract and signed off on a fight with Pacquiao. According to Bob Arum the fight was a done deal in his mind all he had to do was fly to the phillipines and get a signature. Im sure somebody in Pacquiao's camp looked over the contract and told him not to sign not because of money issues but because of random blood test.

When Roy Jones challenged Ruiz for the Heavyweight Belt, Roy gained over 20lbs for that fight.
When Bernard Hopkins challenged Tarver for the Light-Heavy weight Belt, Bernard gained up to 14lbs. & I can go on... But they made the effort (unlike Pacquiao) to put on weight & actually be in that weight divison for the titles they were fighting for.

@Hitman1190 - ok. so Floydisha made a sacrifice when he weighed-in 2 pounds heavier than JMM and maybe even more during fight night. that's nice for Floydisha to sacrifice and come in over weight, he gave JMM the advantage.

It all depends what kind of style or attributes each fighter presents. & Margarito never used his height & has never had handspeed or defense. Regardless if you weigh more or less than your opponent. Why not be inside the weight limits if your fighting for a title in that weight division? If You fighting @ Jr Middle Title.. then, move up to that weight & fight the real top contenders in that weight. 148-154

@ikawpipa It was a welter weight match. Both fighters weighed in within the welter weight limits. 141-147.. Plus, a good hydrated fighter like Marquez (who's never been dominated before fighting floyd) is a more credible opponent than Margabricko an inactive cheater who got ko'ed by Mosley & was still forced to weaken himself to drop down in weight to fight Pacroid.

@Hitman1190 - The 18 days cut-off is a FACT. The 48 days is just my guess since OSDT is not important to other Floyd opponents except the no. 1 P4P KING of boxing. In case you are not updated to news, Manny already agreed until fight night and I think Pacquiao will agree if Floyd wants blood sample taken every round of the fight.

@ikawpipa Really? It took about 2 years for Manny to agree with the testing!? It was Manny's fault the fight didn't happen because he had rejected the first offer which was 18 or 14 days cut off. "Floyd is bigger than me- I'm afraid of needles"... Now he is willing to take tests with no cut off date but he wants a different agency(which he's prolly affiliated with) to take the tests. Manny is a really bad liar filled with excuses & his biased fans can't find other ways(& lies) to cover it up.LOL

@ikawpipa Did you not read my last reply? Team Pacquiao want a different anti-doping agency than the one that is used in the United States. They want an "agency" that doesn't do full random, Olympic Style Drug Tests. Of course Arum & the filipino congressman are willing to pay so that CHEAP agency covers up Pacquiao's positive drug results. A year & 1/2 ago Pac was AFRAID of needles.
