Anybody know where to find parts for this thing? I bought mine about two years ago and used it a few times. Started it about four months ago and ran it dry to store it and now I think I have a carb or pump problem as it won't draw fuel. I haven't called the local Honeywell service center yet but I can't seem to find anything online for ordering any parts for this thing. I think honeywell just abandoned these units.
@afterburner666 they did abandon these units they got rid of the honeywell named inverter and now go by Generac. Which my generac runs better then the Honeywell. I give it an A for starting.
I have one and it works perfect starts on the fist or second pull I love it.
Your problem I think it's that you need to pump it more. if you turn it off with the gas valve you need to pump it like 20 to 30 times and if you turn it off by the switch is like 6 times.
@unclesamscam i know i wrote HoneyWell a naste gram saying how bad it was and how i should have got the H**** they wrote me back saying that they would fully replace it with a better one if I had proof of purchase. Never should of thrown away the receipt!
I have owned both the Honda & Honeywell inverter generators. The Honda's are lighter and quieter, however the Honeywell is not by any means unreliable. If people would actually read the manual they may not have trouble starting it!
No engine requires any higher grade/octane/quality of fuel than what the owners manual specifies. The cold-starting issue with this generator won't be repaired by any means other than finding out what the problem with the primer/enrichment/choke system is and fixing it. "Better gas" or off the shelf "mechanic in a can" products are just money down the drain. ;-)
I'd just repair whatever the real problem is. There has to be an issue with the choke or primer system. Additionally, using so-called "dry fuels" such as propane can be detrimental if the engine isn't designed for it. I know there are lots of companies that sell propane conversions for small engines, but I also know that there are engine manufacturers that sell two "versions" of the same engine. One for gasoline, the other for dual-fuel use. (Kubota's wg/df engines for example.)
I just bought one of these off ebay for $425.00 and free shipping.
Is that a good or bad price?

@roadkillguam this was the last time it ran. wouldnt even start on staring fluid,carb cleaner or propane. Over 400 pulls not one sign of starting

@brokenot This thing is awful! This only starts only when you give it tons of ether. I am thinking about trying to get it to run on propane.
