Carl Orff was clearly a genius. The song is at once depressing and up-lifting. It starts with an ode to the power of fortunes, expressing how we are at the mercy of so many things that are beyond our control. Then he brings us to accept that it is what it will be, that we must accept that there are forces beyond our control. But, then as we approach the end he has us realize our own power in the ability to seize the moment. By the end we have become empowered, but with a better understanding.

i've always loved this song & even more now that i know what's being said. this song has had parts in tons of movies, trailers, etc. it's amazing.

back at i think Wreslemania 13, Undertaker used it as an entrance theme. it was cool he had people w/ lit tourches in robes, they lined up from the entrance all the way down the ramp to the ring on both sides & held the tourches together over-head for Undertaker to pass. as bad ass as that was, it was made even more so by using this song, imo.
