  • I am a witness to this performance. Later that year I left for America at the age of 20. Because I am the son of the real Soca originator I was/am deep into the culture of Calypso, Soca, Rapso and Chutney music. I am the first to really study the works of Lord Shorty and Lord Maestro, there is when I saw the similarities between Blue Boy and Shorty, and Merchant and Maestro. 1984 Blue reached a certain level and evidently he fell and was revived with 'Road To Italy' .

  • Starlift shoulda never play this for Panorama!

    It was not "PANORAMIC" Atall!!!

  • what u mean by not "Panoramic" at all? maybe is how dey play it or how it was arranged...this chune was boss for Panorama 84

  • I remember this when i was at secondary school & as my name is Lucy I died from the horrors i got from everyone when this song came out

  • This is real soca music, no mention of jump and wave, pure sweet soca lyrics and the musical contenet is amazing. Soca artists worldwide, take note.

  • Shake it Lucy, just shake it!! Lord, she ha legs to die for:)

  • This video brings back fond memories 4 me. I distinctly recall B.B's performance on Dimarche Gras 84. That was real soca. Loved B.B's dance:)
