@angel3soldier You're only half right. Each of the Pevensie siblings eventually grew too old to return, but it had nothing to do with "fairy tales." It had to do with them learning to become closer to their own world and closer to Aslan as he presents himself in their world under another name.

This must have been AMAZING to watch in 3D! Especially that last scene. EXCELLENT film. Loved the new cousin character! Graphics were AMAZING!! Two thumbs way up for the graphics. Part of what infuriates me about the movie is that Eustace gets no time to prove himself as a changed boy, since they leave him as a dragon through most of the latter part of the movie. They totally ignore, apparently, the logistical problems of how to bring a dragon on a sea voyage.

You'll recall that in the book, there's a whole discussion among the crew on that very subject.

@XxComablackxX1937 That's exactly what I said; Lewis brought that tale in as the second-to-last book of the Chronicles, but there are two more before it. But it wasn't a "reboot," it was a prequel. And Aslan won't be "brought back"; he's in every story, so he's already there. And Jadis wasn't the White Witch yet.

The real force of evil in Narnia, and Aslan's actual opposite number, is Tash, god of the Calormenes, but as the Calormenes have been studiously ignored in these films, so has he.

If you read LWW, you'll see that though she stood before Aslan, she kept her eyes down, not able to look into his, and she high-tailed it when he roared at her. And she only killed him because he let her; it was through no power of her own.

You can read them in publication order if you want to see how his writing style and ideas about Narnia developed, or you can read them in the order of their internal chronology and so get the history of Narnia from beginning to end.

@turumbitix Well, you could start with Eustace and Jill visiting Professor Kirke and him telling them about his adventures in Narnia, then make the movie his flashback. That would be simple enough.

There are two radio adaptations of the Chronicles, and each one uses a different order. The one by the BBC goes by internal chronology (with the Prof narrating the first two), while the one by Focus on the Family uses publication order, with Doug Gresham to explain where everything fits together.
