Scaling resistance of stainless steel is the resistance to oxidation / corrosion. This property is dependent on the chromium content in steel. One type of stainless steel, 2111HTR, still has this property at 1150 degrees Celsius. I am wondering what steel is used to stamp the components of the honey stove.
Great little stove! I hope to get one soon and check it out.
On a side note, have you ever thought about manufacturing a small wood burning "pot belly" stove with a chimney that could be packed into cabins without fireplaces/stoves and thus provide heat?
And, have you thought about building a collapsable oven that could be used with this stove?
It has too many parts! It will be difficult to assemble outdoors with cold hands and strong winds, etc.! It would be better if it simply folded out. Also, I don't like to carry extra parts for different configurations. When designed cleverly it won't need extra parts. At the beginning of this presentation I thought it would combine (i.e. replace!) the other stoves, but as it turns out, this stove is just an addition to the other stoves (one more thing to pack/ carry). Sorry, not interested!
It has been proven easy to assemble with frozen hands by some very happy customers thanks during the winter! Also you only take what you need, not what you think you might need and therefore save weight. What it is intended to do is give you more options for minimal weight, so you can take less meths (thus save weight) and use local fuel. It isn't rocket science, but does need an open mind!
Actually the cooker cools down remarkably quickly. You can disassemble it within 2-3 minutes. Customers have tested it with gloves on and with cold hands and tell me there is no big issue in putting it together.
I love that it accommodates alot of different pots and cookers, but this would be very hot after you use it, and would need to cool down before disassembly. also it would be difficult to assemble with gloves on.
Most ingenious: it's like an Orikaso in steel.

LOL,thats alot of pots and stuff.
I really like this stove.
Hey ,how about trying to make 1 that all you need to do is unfold it and have it join togther like the end of the set up.
As you begin to unfold the sides all you do is add the open 1 and the bottom and top.
As for having cold hands, build a fire and then you can warm up the stove and your hands.
Or you can have letters that join the sides(A to A-B to B) for the ones that have a hard time .
How much are they and where can I get 1.

Couldn't the *firehole* be blocked to varying degrees to accentuate a chimney effect to make the fire burn more vigorously ?

Nice design, relatively fast to boil and very versatile.
I hope you have plans for creating a titanium model for the ultra light crowd.
