Loved this video. Really like the part about the soul and even a plant has one. Funny a place had stressed plants reduced on a cart. Nobody was buying them. Ended up going back a buying them all 48 in all. Transplanted them and getting them all well enough to go to new homes. We were talking and thinking back I often rescue plants. Have a new name "Plant Rescue Lady"
I have to admit to some discomfort in telling humans that it's "their" earth. That "relationship" has already caused most of the problems. But i understand the self-interest you are hoping to employ here.
10:34 Fossil fuels aren't the only greenhouse gas problem, and may not be the largest. You likely know about the UN FAO report on animal agriculture and how it dwarfs transportation sources of greenhouse gasses.
1:20 Proof to you I wasn't BSing about being Sagan fan. :-)
8:05 "Just testing to see if you're paying attention." :-) Thanks, too late for this vid. I'll be sure to count the zeros next time.
10:34 Yes, you are right on this in Aces. In the "Marr-Bomb" video somewhere I did mention that "A vegan driving a Hummer emits less GHGs than a meat eater riding a bicycle, referring of course to Methane.
08:10 "..human being is only one level higher than an amoeba"
I'm a little surprised you're using terms like "higher" here. That's a rather anthropocentric way of looking at it.
9:09 OK, you lost the science with the "soul" stuff. Reincarnation is an appealing notion, but then you'd have to have hard evidence for it, along with a explanation for the process by which it works. This would probably be as complex as the start of life itself... and simpler is usually how reality goes.
Thank you for your thoughtful and of course Saganesque feedback (I'm also a Sagan fan).
About "higher", it is not anthropocentric, since I also describe the planetary level as "higher" than the National, and the National "higher" than the Citian, and THEN, the Citian "higher" than the Metazoan, to which we lowly humans belong.
About the "soul" There is conclusive scientific evidence neither for nor against it, so it is a matter of speculation either way.
Einstein has "twin paradox", and I have mine. My question is, if you are one of two identical twins, say twin A, since they are identical, why are you stuck with being twin A and not twin B? Why is twin A's body "your body" and not twin B's? This is one of the reasons why I am uncertain about the existence of the soul.
Follows the evolution of creation from the very beginning to this crucial juncture of human evolution and beyond into our stellar and Universal destiny. This video shows us the great destiny that awaits us once we pass the final exam that fast approaches.
What is this music? Anyone?

It is Richard Wagner's "Siegfried's Funeral March".
The end piece of Richard Strauss's "Thus Spoke Zarathustra", opening bars, used by the movie [2001 - a Space Odyssey] as theme music.
