I have an idea for getting unemployed Americans "back to work." Start paying $5,000 bounties on any illegal alien brought to I.C.E. Then fine the illegal $10,000 plus deport costs. And FORCE-work them [on chain gangs, road crews, etc.] to pay off the fines before deporting them. Judges have sentenced our own citizens guilty of crimes to work off fines that way. So why not the illegals too?

Any amnesty would have to be limited and contingent not only upon border enforcement, but on restriction of future immigration from Latin America, there is 10% unemployment in this country, no one can legitimately argue there is any need for immigrant labor.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I have many friends and peers who are illegal immigrants. Sure it gives one a good feeling supporting these people, but deep down inside I know for a fact that illegal immigration is a burden on the well being of the US society. I have an idea for getting unemployed Americans "back to work." Start paying $5,000 bounties on any illegal alien brought to I.C.E. Then fine the illegal $10,000 plus deport costs. And FORCE-work them [on chain gangs, road crews, etc.] to pay off the fines before deporting them. Judges have sentenced our own citizens guilty of crimes to work off fines that way. So why not the illegals too?
Also pay tipsters $500 for reporting employers of illegals and illegals getting welfare or food stamps.

Another thing we must remember is we can stop much of the problem ourselves. Boycott any business that uses illegals. For example, Mrs. Bairds bread was purchased by Bimbo Inc. which is a Mexican corporation. Check out what they own and boycott that business.
I just painted the trim on my home myself. If I had any contractor to do it they would have illegals working for them. In my own way I prevented that from happening and saved money too.

If you want my opinion, it's because the illegal immigrants have nothing to offer to America except some cheap labor. When the Europeans came at that time, there American society was not as structured enough for the difference to be pronounced enough. Now they are coming with not a proper education, nothing to offer, and will be leeching off the taxpayer. I think immigration is alright, but as long as its legal.

The ONLY reason illegals can get employment is because American business gives them jobs to depress wages. If all companies today implemented an e-verify program to make applicants prove citizenship, illegal immigration would stop immediately. The illegals are just taken advantage of the opening American business (and Federal government) gives them. Building a fence will slow it down but making employers responsible for who they hire will stop it cold.

Removing illegal immigrants from the labor market will reduce competition and drive up wages. If you make these illegals legal they will have to be paid minimum wage. Many of them will end up on welfare. The demand for cheap illegal labor will increase. The vicious cycle of illegal immigration continues.
The solution is stiff fines and potential incarceration for hiring illegal workers.
The only welfare for an illegal immigrant should be bus fare, a one way ticket back home.

If truly jobs are all that is important to people who are supposedly hard workers and honest people, Saudi Arabia will ship you over there to work in kitchens and fields and oil wells and if your educated in industry. First we need to have a 3 stage penalty law which forces employers found employing these people such 1st $10,000 2nd 100,000 3rd 250,000 4th revoking what ever business license that they have to run their business. Also use the money collected from each fine to employ person to monitor the board thru the invisible fence procedure. If they are for it or have no comment, don't send them to Washington or your respective state capitols. Even down to your county or city councils. You take an american id and put a computer chip in it and when people go to make purchases they will need to show id and scan id If your a temporary citizen you will not be able to purchase any products in any store in America because it will alert the cashier that your time is up or you are wanted by the fbi for murder!! Illegals defy the law and put their wishes ahead of those of people who obeyed our laws and came in legally. No compassion for them, let them go to the end of the line, and if they then come in legally, fine and welcome. They are no different from someone who tries to break the line in a grocery checkout line, and deserve no better treatment, and at least when you break a checkout line you're not breaking the law, though you might be banned from the store.

We fled to Gelsenkirchen, Western Germany, risking our lives. Eastern Germany - Russian controlled. Western Germany was NATO controlled. And believe me, the Iron Curtan dividing Europe was not good, and they were not good neighbors. It's wrong to divide countries by walls and fences.

I have great understanding for those who were behind the Iron Curtain, and indeed The Conservative Caucus worked to educate people about Soviet Tyranny. I have been behind the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall, and am delighted it is history.
The great difference is between a prison and a front door in this case. The Soviet Empire was a deadly prison to keep it's citizens enslaved. Securing our border is keeping people from breaking INTO our home. That's a night and day difference.

An additional point is that more than half the world lives in poverty and under corrupt dictatorships. With no border controls and cheap air fares, we will eventually have 2-3 BILLION immigrants. America can't handle even a fraction of that!
