  • she looks like Pocahontas.

  • Is this the whole movie?

  • @Alce12 Yes.

  • Amazing!

  • Is tablet with color ?

  • @selenitt Huh?

  • @lpdisney Are wacom with painted characters or mouse? Very sorry for bad English

  • @selenitt Rough animation on paper with pencil. Scanned. Cleanup and coloring with Wacom tablet. Please read more in my article, link in movie info, can't post links here. Thank you.

  • D8 Meaning of epic.....

  • doing it like Disney, only that u're alone... woah must taken like forever xD

  • Wow! This was AMAZING!!! I can't believe Disney turned you away! The animation looked extremely professional. This would be a great full-length movie. :)

  • @CaptainHooksGirl Not too surprised. Whilst pulling the project together was admirable, it lacked any real sense of timing or spacing. The key poses just blended one into the other. The only one this animation worked better for was the flowing Lady Ice. On top of all this, the visual style was too Disney-like, which doesn't show much originality, though it is obvious many hours were put into this. Unfortunately, more effort put in doesn't always yield a better outcome.

  • Very well done! Beautifully told, all without saying a word. Loved it!

  • that was... incredible... how did you do it? Meening, what softwhere and how?

    and...

BEAUTIFUL. Being an artist i know it must have taken FOREVER for you to get this good. and then this short itself must have taken months

  • @LenAndRen9898 Please read the article I wrote. Link in movie info (I can't post links here). Thank you.

  • Great! Reminds me of Pochantas.

And I almost yelled 'RAPE!' when Lady Ice bent over him.

  • This was FANTASTIC! Great job.

  • Did lady ice fall in love with the boy?

  • Or try for warner bros! , my teacher used to work on a siste rcom, pany with them for animations.

  • why not try 20th century fox, the creator of anastasia? or lion pictures.

  • Are you going to be at all involved in the upcoming Disney film: Frozen? It's based off the Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale.

When I saw the article, I was immediately reminded of this animated short and thought that perhaps you struck gold with it and had it adapted into a Disney film, because let's face it...this short film is better than 75% of the crap that comes out in theaters nowadays.

If not, i'm sorry for raising your hopes and such with this. It's not my intentions.

  • @banglefaar No, I have no relation to Disney. I heard of this snow queen project AFTER I finished the animation for my film. I know this project is now on HOLD and Disney might not do it. They are not working on any 2D right now and they don't hire animators. I sent my stuff over and they don't want me. I know you hand good intentions and no harm is done. Thank you for liking my film ^_^

  • @lpdisney I didn't like your film.

    I loved it.

  • this was beautiful i loved every moment of it!!!!!!!

  • 6:10 amazing

  • יפהפה!!!

  • I keep watching this, Liron u are amazing

  • that is quite the bear. and omg 113 megs

  • This was incredible!

  • Congrats Liron. I must commend you on your quest towards this personal project. ~ Amazing classical animation here!

  • Absolutely stunning!

  • Thank you for this beautiful animation!!! The story, the music.. i'm speechless...

  • It has really good appeal, but the character animation needs more pauses. Everything seems straight ahead.

  • i loved it thought it was awesome

  • i loveee it sooooo much cute

  • This is beautiful!!! Very inspiring for an animator in training!! Congrats on completing this!! I remember discovering you awhile back so it's great to finally get to see the the final piece!!! Love it!!

  • Awesome! You should definitely work for Nickelodeon, Disney, and DreamWorks! You are a very good animator! I'm impressed! ^^

  • You executed gestural movement beautifully. From the cinematic shots, to the various amount of well-crafted backgrounds, to the character development. One small thing I guess; I believe it would have done well without any form of language (20 winters later); your transitions does a marvelous job of moving the story along. I'm sorry for the rant, but since this is movie-quality animation, I wanted to give a well-needed critique. Overall, I hope you produce more of these wonderful animations.

  • This is absolutely stunning :D Awesome work ^^

btw: What kind of animal should that white thingie be?

  • @Xehanort88 It's fantasy, so it's not really a defined animal. It's some kind of a mix between a bear, a bore, a wolf and such.

  • @Xehanort88 I think it's a polar bear thingy xD

  • this is incredible! dont stop making these... one day you will get fameous!!! :D

  • I love this so much it's beautifully done. I think the biggest accomplishment is how well you managed to tell the story without any dialogue which I think is also a big part of what animation is about.

  • omg, i loved it! truely amazing!

  • For having been made by one person, this is outstanding work. However, with your main tutor having been the Disney style, I'm disappointed to note that you haven't quite gotten character expression down. The characters at times look awkward and move in unnatural looking ways considering their emotions. It's nothing that can't be worked on, of course. I recommend watching Disney films over and over, studying how their characters move compared to yours. Good luck, and keep working to get better.

  • Lady Ice kind of looks like Pocahontas

  • I can see why this took 5 1/2 years!!! GOOD JOB!

  • OUSTANDING!

  • Ahhh! This made me cry, beautiful!

  • i am rather speechless. This is pure amazing. This is beyond amazing. This is everything I aspire to do with my talents. I always loved Disney's old traditional style and you perfected and mastered it. I want to do this so badly. When I move in and get settled, I will buy a copy of this. Please don't stop doing what you love. I honestly wish I could work with you or at least see the process in person. This is amazing.

  • I WANT PART TWO!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

  • Comment removed

  • WOW. No more words.

  • This was amazing! I wish is was longer though but that is the best animation I have every seen other than Walt Disney that was drawn by hand. FANTASTIC JOB! I can't wait to see further animations from you in the future. ;)

  • Awesome work Keep it up Liron :)

  • COOL BEANS!!!

  • Holy shit... beautiful ;u;

  • Beutiful!

  • this is stunning work. Beautifully told story too, well executed plot.

I hope you will work disney in the future.

  • holy crap this is amazing...

  • WOW

  • BRIIIILLLLLLLLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • truly beautiful!!!

  • You're wonderful.

Although the husband was too well colored after is death compared to the moving characters.

  • shame on all the people who disliked >:(

  • This was actually really osm to watch 0.o;;. I would have liked to have seen more emotional movement with the characters, like when the guy slams down on the edge of the ice. I wanted to feel the impact. You are an actor, and your animation is the performance. I applaud this animation mainly because you did it yourself, it is amazing. I'm currently in the media arts and animation program, I want to work for Disney :D.

  • AWESOME!!!!! THIS IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!! YOU NEED TO WIN AN ACADEMY AWARD FOR THIS!!!!!

  • superb!!! loved it!!!!

  • this is JUST amazing!!! As MAGICAL as Disney!!!

  • @Fairytaleprincexy OMG1!!!!! YES

  • That's so beautiful. Great job! I miss 2D animated movies so much. The end reminds me of The Firebird in Fantasia 2000...

  • Do you remember Pocahontas? I'm not an expert, I'm just one of those, whom this video is for....and I was speachless...to touch the human's heart is the very priority of every movie, animation,or...whatever....This one.....Oh, God....this one was the moment I've returned to my childhood with the Disney animations, with the emotions, with the expressions ...old school animation, old school(evergreen) ways of expressing...Thank you, Liron Pe'er!!!

  • Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, that is the best animated squirrel I've ever seen. EVER. And I have seen my fair share of animated squirrels. XDDDD But seriously, this was absolutely incredible. I hope you get into Disney, you deserve it! Good luck!

  • This short is absolutely beautiful. Very well done, I wish you the best of luck with getting an animators position - but I will say this, you are just welling with talent, and there are so many cartooning, and animated movie company's out there that are scouring for talent like this.

  • Great job n_n really impressive! I really love the style of art, it's so proffesional. ^^

  • This is amazing!! World class animation!

I only started taking animation classes this summer..What programs are you using?

  • @mayar283 Please read the article at the bottom of Movie Info (can't post links here).

  • @lpdisney Oh thanks!! wish u the best of luck :)

  • cool!!!

  • How long did this take to make by yourself?

  • @MoonLiteWolfPro 5 and a half years (working on and off and having a day job, but still - years of hard work).

  • man you out did yourself this is the first video and only video iv seen by you but wow was this turned into a movie?

  • @rodrick116 No, no movie at this point (unless some company buy the rights). Check my channel for more cool animations such as this one ;-)

  • @lpdisney is the dvd release going to have talking?

  • @jhar226 well, if you refer to this movie, then no. this IS the movie and you will get it on the DVD in fullHD. BUT!!! you will also get more of my movies, some have talking. you will also get behind the scenes and bonus stuff, storyboard, concept art, a signed poster, postcards and many many other stuff. free shipping worldwide. please check Lady Ice official website for more details (sorry, I can't post links here). Thank you.

  • Hopefully disney goes back to their animating ways! Hate the new disney I want my classic animations and moral lessons back and not this "Oh Em Gee he is sooo cuuute" highschool drama crap. Its no wonder more and more teens are getting knocked up.

  • @pietruffa Please read the article mentioned in movie info (I can't post links here). Thank you and good luck ^_^

  • Amazing! I have been taking an animation program over the summer and I'm thinking of going into animation as a career, do have any advice for a novice like me?

  • The fantastic and unique style reminds me of Brother Bear.

  • wonderful!!! i hope you get licensed to make other movies like this on the widescreen soon. i want to see more!!

  • wow i can't believe that this was done by you! The artwork is so professional that even some animations from a real company is beat compared to yours! The movement of the characters is so smooth and very live-like! I bow to your talent and expertise

  • This is beautiful. I really enjoy seeing and watching your art come to life. I am currently in an art program at my school, but could only hope to ever create something as good as these. It just takes so much time, and so many people don't understand that. Keep doing what you're doing. It's amazing.

  • Loved it! it's so perfect!!

  • I love it!

  • You best tell us when you get your first gig! ill be one of the first in line to watch it lol. this is just wonderful. May your dreams come true. I have my pom poms here cheering for you.

  • This is an absolutely amazing piece of work. I want to see much, much more. You SHOULD work for disney, as I am trying to do myself. your little short made my day and made me cry. it was beautiful. stunning even.

  • Yes!! Keep going!! Move forward!! It's amazing and beautiful ;___; The animation is so smooth and gorgeous!! 2D animation for the win!

  • wow this is great.i loved everything about this video.i also like how when the boy grows up to be a man the lady falls in love with him.please!! that will only be in her dreams,i mean come on if some snow spirit froze your mom and left you in the snow to freeze would you honestly grow up to like/marry them??

  • Beautiful Job!

  • I must.. stop crying... Good luck with Disney.

  • This was wonderful. This must have taken you a long time, but it was really well done. The story line was really interesting. I myself want to be an animator, and one day I hope to have some short stories just like yours :-)

Thank you for sharing your talent! :-)

  • I really wish this was drawn out longer but damn!! This artwork is so fluent, vibrant, and wonderful!

  • That was fantastic!!

  • 7:23 of pure happiness ! The animation is great and the story moving ! It's amazing to see how one woman can create with few help such a poetic video. Well done ! cheers from France !

  • wow this is really amazing!! Your videos have the level of Walt Disney Pictures. Now that i read the comments, i see Walt Disney already has been mentioned a lot. It really reminds us of their work. Hopefully you'll ever get hired by them

  • This video is such a huge inspiration to me as an animator! You deserve well more views!

  • I love your shortfilm. It´s amazing, especially the background. They are so beuatiful and are made excellent. Congratulations.

  • ממש מדהים מכל בחינה :)

  • This is such stunning animation! you should work for Disney or something!

  • OMG! You finished it! It's looks awesome!

  • I love your art and animation. Well done!

By the way, did Lady Ice think her polar bear(or whatever it is) was dead so she was surpirised to the footprints?

  • @Queerlioness Thank you, and yes, she thought he was dead and was surprised to see his footsteps, cause he is one of a kind and therefore she knew it was his.

  • Amazing dedication. What a fantastic thing to have achieved. I'll never comprehend the patience needed for 2D animation. Congratulations!

  • Time making this well spent!!!! its absolutly stunning! Its stuck in my mind, and has touched my heart the way some disney films and fairy stories have. Its a piece of art. well done!

  • 20 people have been turned to ice!

  • *_*

  • whats up with the bear

  • This was amazing, to say the least. There really was no need for voices, the faces of the characters and the music did all the story-telling. Very well done...and the ending was lovely. Best of luck for the future. :)

  • OMG, really beautiful, and you showed this story without words and I understood clearly everything, it's amazing, everything was just perfect for me :)

Greets from Poland and I'll be watching your works :)

  • Beautiful. Really amazing work. I can tell you put a lot of feeling into this. The mood is perfect and each scene is perfectly placed out. I keep coming back to watch this when I need more inspiration for animation. How many frames did this take, may I ask?

  • @Zorhxien About 4500 +/- Rough drawings, and then the same amount in Cleanup. Glad you enjoy my film, have you considered purchasing it on DVD? You get a lot of bonuses with it.

  • Comment removed

  • This short film is a remarkable achievement in itself. How you conveyed such character, emotion, scale and beauty with no dialogue at all, only music. An incredible testament to the wonderful works of traditional 2D animation. As Disney has recently begun releasing 2D films again (like 'The Princess and the Frog') you should definately be able to get a job at Disney, no problem. Congratulations on a simply stunning masterpiece!

  • Hooray!

    Purchased this DVD!

My aunty got me this for my birhday and I was soo happy because now I can expand my knowledge and skills of animating by observing your movie especially the WIP version, thank you so much for delivering it r8 on time! :D

  • Um....wow.....magnificent.

  • This is gorgeous and probably the best animation I've found thus far on youtube. :) Keep up the awesome work.

  • This is really nice! I love the concept of the story and the BGM fits it well.

It was a bit of a cliff hanger for me. I wish it had ended a little different or something. But it was a nice ending.

It made me wish that you had had a big team and have made this a longer film... and perhaps with voice talent. But for what it is, I'd say it's a masterpiece.

    Wonderful job!

I wish you could make my stories come to life like this. (^▼^) ~♫ ♪ ♥

    Best wishes!

  • this is the path that disney should be walking on! not the crap they're releasing these days. this is beautiful and heartwrenching beyond belief. the music is fantastic.

i pray for your success and i definitely see a bright future ahead for you.

  • This is beautiful <3

  • This was fantastic! >.< So much emotion portrayed without dialogue. That takes talent. Especially matching music up to it too. Gaaaah!! Love it!

  • good job with this (: i really hope you get a job with disney!!

how long is the full movie??

  • @CharmedClover This **IS** the movie.

  • This surpasses the word 'beautiful'....

  • The people who made this video should work your Disney. Thy have such a Talent.

  • She looks like Pochahontas

  • Wish I could have been there to help - I love doing voice over work and would have been more than willing to do it for free and help edit it in.

  • Can you get voice actors? How much it took?

  • @Deepmindandheartlife Sorry, no, as you noticed this is a movie withOUT dialogue. and no, I won't be making any more. It took be about 5 and a half years to complete.

  • It's international video. Anyone can understand that. If this cartoon will be with voiсe - then people from other countries may not understand its meaning.

I love you're animation for Lady Ice, like she's made up of drops of water.

  • You're a genius. I love it.

  • Have you ever submitted this stuff to Disney? I would hire you on the spot if I were the manger of one of the production teams.
