A few months back I had an experience that really highlighted that what is me is not my body; I had fainted (from pain, don't ask) and when I came to, my face was down and at first I had no idea who I was or where I was. It was a terrible feeling but in retrospect, it was proof to me that I am pure consciousness, a point of awareness. So from a scary experience came this wonderful realization.
