@hicsumfabulalepus but the production quality on their last 3 studio albums were phenomenal, especially the SACD mixes. It's like aural porn penetrating the soul!
a NIN concert is like a trip where you don't need any drugs to get high! You just need to hear the music and watch those guys doing their job on stage......
What a voice this guy has. THIS is talent. Not the Britney Spears, autotuned pop shit! NIN, Tool, Puscifer, Renholder! It's THESE artists that have talent. A gift!
And Tool and NIN should collab! Heck, they could make an album and I'm sure it would be voted "Best album ever created by anyone ever!"
Yeah. Also A Perfect Circle's "Passive" is also a Reznor & Keenan collaboration. But I'd like to see Puscifer make an album with Trent. Would be pretty awesome. I'd buy it.
@DrunkenLeprechaunPro They did, for years, it was called Tapeworm - nothing was ever released, they didn't think it was good enough. In all honesty, I've never thought Tool were at all interesting or impressive, with you on NIN, though, obviously.
We can agree to disagree about Tool, but bringing a prog metal sound to a more industrial rock sound would be pretty cool... added to the fact that MJK and Trent are brilliant producers and creative geniuses, I'm sure it would be a huge success.
The BYIT show (they filmed my show for the DVD) was my first NIN experience and ultimately made me into a fan. I managed to see them nearly ten more times including the farewell show at the Bowery. Miss 'em already
I remember seeing this Live when they came to my home city, same stage layout and everything. This had to be the best concert I had been to, musically and visually.
i've only went once to the yearzero tour and HOLY FUCK my brother had won a contest on a calgary radio show for two floor seat s me and him hugged the rail the entire show both had bruised ribs afterwards but the effects blew my mind i love the playin the rain instrumental they did
dude this dvd + rolls + my ex which i loved at the time = heaven on earth icould only hope heaven is as good as watching this dvd rolling balls with sum 1 i love
The only thing that pisses me off is that they never were in the Czech Republic... If they showed up here, I wouldn't hesitate:) By the way, did they ended or is How to Destroy Angels only a temporary project?
I'm not trying to be and Asshole or attack you in any way but don't you think that's a Rediculous assertion to make. LOTS of people had NIN Stickers on their cars back in 99 when I was younger. Trent and NIN have been very well *appreciated* indeed.
They might not be as Much of a Household name as The Beatles but he's made tons of f'ing money and has tons of f'in fans WorldWide.
ive been to a few concerts in my life, (never any NIN cuz he retired while i was young) but i have never seen or heard effects as great as this, this defines industrial rock music.
this song, along with other NIN songs and a bunch of other 90s artists, helped me through my 9th grade year, when i was a bitchy depressed kid who nobody liked. strangely though, in a way, i miss that year.
@paynekiller1231 id just like to say that i feel your pain and i know cause my mother died too.these are more than just words strung into sentances in these songs, they are feelings and memories that act as pain killers for us all.
Why is it that there always has to be some guy that throws some useless ass comment in stating that he had some CD back in the day and was listening to it before anyone? neo1mantra.... you are stupid. Some people weren't old enough to have it back then because they wouldn't have known what it was nor would they have cared. How about this... I'll bet some poser had "Pretty Hate Machine" before you! And was tainting it all up and down with his listening skills...mmmm. You're stupid.
Just like the concert i went to when with the teeth tour was happening, and to this day still the best damn show i've ever seen. Trent is a genius. It gives me chills just remembering singing with him as I watched the glass break effect happen it was amazing. I'll never forget it.
Love the song,it just unsettles me for some reason. One of my best friends passed away the day I picked up With Teeth. Maybe that has to something to do with it. Between the shatter and the lyrics,it stays in my head long after I hear it.
Well "unsettling" is probably a good description of the song. Sorry to hear about your friend. That can throw a cloud over anything else happening at the same time. I find it to be a deeply mystical song. Very mysterious. Check out "solfeggio frequencies". That drone in this song has a specific tone. And a specific function. It doesn't just sound cool. He's done similar things in other songs. Reznor is exploring some deep concepts in his music. Hope he never stops. Peace.
I've seen NIN upwards of 15 times but the Live: With Teeth, and Lights In The Sky tours nearly blew my mind.
I remember walking away from Live: With Teeth thinking, "What fantastic effects! How could you top that?"
And a year or two later walking away from Lights In The Sky thinking NIN just set the bar even higher.
Amazing band. Amazing shows, high tech or low tech. Easily one of the best and most important bands of our generation, and arguably for modern music in general.
I have a friend that saw them and was disappointed, i just cant understand how you couldnt be blown away, i guess thats what they mean by art is subjective
and also i hate the so called NIN traditionalists who generally dont like anything trents done since downward spiral or the fragile- its called artistic growth-when a person grows it should be reflected in their music-and it definately shows on his last 3 albums-love it trent-keep it up-we grow alongside you
I remember when I went to see NIN back in 2007, I was only 15 and I had my school exams in the same day so i was a bag of nerves lol. But i'll never forget that day, it was def 1 of the best days of my life <333.
Even though i've never been a big fan of NIN, i love the way they do their live shows. Most bands have themselves being the center of attention but here the music is. It comes' alive in a whole other way
i seen NIN twice on this WITH TEETH TOUR in 05 and i seen NIN twice on the LIGHTS IN THE SKY TOUR in 08.....and honestly its a hard call to say but LIGHTS IN THE SKY was way more bad ass tour overall but dont get me wrong so was With teeth! trent reznor and NINs light show only gets better and better!

I się doczekał!!!! Najcudowniejszego koncertu jakiego mogłam się spodziewać. Było doskonale i wiedzieli o tym wszyscy. pozdrowienia dla tych co byli!
